Dear readers, I know this looks like a long review, but please read it. This year, after summer, our English teacher showed us a book he liked. It was called Loser. He explained what the book was about but I didn't understand it. Because you can read better than explain, right? A month later he gave us an assignment. We had to read Loser and answer questions. Sometimes we read it out loud or on our own. In chapters 1, 2, and 3, I didn't understand it and it seemed boring. (If you're going to read the book, don't skip any chapters.) Then on every page, it got more interesting. I kept reading it and I finally finished it. This book is about a boy named Zinkoff (Donald Zinkoff), who's in first grade. On his very first day, he was very excited to go. He brought his favorite giraffe hat to school. The teacher tells him there are 2160 days of his life in school left. Zinkoff was happy. In his journey through his life, Zinkoff had many things happen to him. Like being left out. He's much different than other kids. He believes in many things you probably never thought of. But he never really lets anything bother him. Days pass, months, years. The end of fifth grade comes, and he's very sad. He will miss everything because he's going to middle school. And somehow, a loser became a hero. I never really had a favorite book, but this book deserves it. Trust me, it's much better than it seems. I'm in sixth grade and I recommend this book for grades 5-8. I hope you read it. You will laugh and you will cry. I hope you enjoy it.

Pelé: The King of Soccer

Pelé: The King of Soccer

By Eddy Simon

Title and author: Pele the king of soccer,Eddy Simon. I chose the rating 2 because it was kind of challenging. I read it for three days. This book had small sentences and easy words. But the main point of this book was hard. I learned from this book that nothing is easy but nothing is impossible also. Interesting I found was that Pele scored more than one thousand goals. And that his dad also played soccer. I would recommend this book to 3-5 grade because it has a strong main point but easy words and sentences.

Mighty Jack

Mighty Jack

By Ben Hatke

I'm really glad I got this book! I haven't read this book in a while. Mighty Jack is the first book in the series that Ben Hatke is making. It's about how Jack and his sister, Maddy, are trying to support there single mom, who is working hard to support her family, while they are secretly growing a garden with mysterious seeds they got from a strange man at a farmer's market. I would rate this 9/10!

The Hobbit

The Hobbit

By J. R. R. Tolkien

Title: The Hobbit. Author: J.R.R Tolkien.Genre: Fantasy. I finished this book about 18 months ago and really enjoyed it. The book was very suspenseful but basically you should read this classic anyway. This book is good for 3rd to 5th grade and the sequel is also amazing. This book must be read at least once but I highly recommend reading it more times

The Silver Eyes (Five Nights at Freddy's Graphic Novel)

The Silver Eyes (Five Nights at Freddy's Graphic Novel)

By Scott Cawthon, Kira Breed-Wrisley

I love this series, the games, the movies and the books. Fnaf can be a very scary and hard game, especially in game 1, but overall it is still good. This book got me so stuck reading when my teachers, mom or friends say my name I don't even realize they said it.

Squished: A Graphic Novel

Squished: A Graphic Novel

By Lloyd, Megan Wagner

Title: squished Author: Megan Wagner Lloyd Genre: Realistic Fiction I give this book a 5/5 stars because this book connects to real life for some people. It also has a very fun plot. One thing I find interesting is how Dani decided to hang out with Char instead of Avery! Char is cool and all but Avery is really sad about it. I recommend this book to 3rd+ because the plot could confuse a second grader but overall I think it's a really good book.

Dragon Ball Z, Volume 1 (Dragon Ball Z (Viz Paperback))

Dragon Ball Z, Volume 1 (Dragon Ball Z (Viz Paperback))

By Akira Toriyama

Title: Dragon Ball Z Author: Akira Toriyama Pages:184 Dragon Ball is the perfect definition of the greatest piece of fiction ever created. It's about a man named Goku and it's been 5 years since The World Tornament where Picclo Jr tried to kill everyone. Since then Goku has settled with a wife and kid whose name is Gohan but there is a new theat coming to Earth. I won't spoil this great book so you have to read it. I highly reccomend this book to 9 or older.

Best Friends

Best Friends

By Shannon Hale

Title: Best Friends Author: Shannon Hale Genre: Auto Biography I would give this novel a 5/5 because it really shows what it's like to have struggles in 6th grade. It also shows that not everybody is supposed to be perfect. One thing I found interesting about this book is how Shannon denied Jenny when she asked to be in the group two times yet she still hangs out with them. Another thing I found interesting is how Jen made Shannon's group back into the group again which is very unfair to Shannon because she tried to start over. Lastly I would recommend this book for grades 3rd to 6th because it takes place in sixth grade but a 2nd grader wouldn't get it because they don't really understand this sort of concept and what the group is.
