A hilarious, action-packed New York Times bestselling series launches with a story-within-a-story, from the author of the Half Upon a Time trilogy.

Life is boring when you live in the real world, instead of starring in your own book series. Owen knows that better than anyone, what with the real world’s homework and chores.

But everything changes the day Owen sees the impossible happen—his classmate Bethany climb out of a book in the library. It turns out Bethany’s half-fictional and has been searching every book she can find for her missing father, a fictional character.

Bethany can’t let anyone else learn her secret, so Owen makes her a deal: All she has to do is take him into a book in Owen’s favorite Kiel Gnomenfoot series, and he’ll never say a word. Besides, visiting the book might help Bethany find her father…

…Or it might just destroy the Kiel Gnomenfoot series, reveal Bethany’s secret to the entire world, and force Owen to live out Kiel Gnomenfoot’s final (very final) adventure.

This book looks awesome from the front of the cover and from the feedback of other it might be a very good book. In first I love interesting, exploring, fantasy and mysterious books. Hope I get to read this book one day

This book was really interesting. The son of a librarian ends up finding out that his classmate can move into books, and he tricks her into letting him into one, which throws both of them into a huge mess.

This book main character called Owen, he think his life is boring, and hate his life. But one day something weird thing happened, his classmate Bethany climb out of a book in the library. And they go in the every book, and they don’t want anyone to know their secret. I like this book is because it’s cool, fun, and magical. They talk about their magical trip to the stories in book. I would recommend everyone to read this book, because it’s funny, and tell about their magical trip. And how fun to just in and out the in those stories.

This is the best book ever!

awesome awesome

it is the best book i ever read and i have a suspicion that nobody is James riley

You have to read this if you like adventure and thrill#😍😍😍

This is THE MOST original book I have read in . . . well, ever. It's like getting two books in one, but still the same story, if you know what I mean. Plot wonderful and best-thought out, but, as with all James Riley's books, you have to give it a chance. Read to the end. Because if you give up on it in the beginning because there's no explosions, time bombs, or dragons, you will be severely disappointed on what you're missing out on. Don't even forget to read the acknowledgements. For people who like . . . well, for anyone, because this has every genre.

I thought this book was great! My uncle gave it to me for my birthday and i read it and it was awesome!!!!
