Rick Riordan kicks off his new book series with his first book of The Gods of Asgard Series! As his world gets turns upside down, his Uncle Randolph suddenly appears, saying that there family had attracted the gods for many generations. He wants Magnus to find the sword that he has lost his family for while searching. While on a bridge to fetch the sword from the Boston Harbor, a fire giant attacks, killing Magnus right after Magnus finds Sumbrander, the sword (aka Jack). Samirah, a Valkyrie, takes him to Valhalla, the land of deceased heroes, where he is told he wasn't meant to die, but cannot go back to the living because he has already seen Valhalla. As the story continues, Magnus and his friends are put on quest to stop Fenris Wolf from breaking his chains and starting Ragnarok. Riordan uses humor to smooth out all of parts that might be scary for some readers making it the perfect read! I rate this book 5 stars because it is the perfect blend of funny, scary, and , of course, mythology!

In order to survive, they are presented to the frivolous citizens of the Capitol as "star-crossed lovers", and must play the part to stay alive.. together. Prepare for an action-filled adventure of betrayals, poisonous berries, unexpected allies, bloody deaths, wildfires, heartbreak, and maybe even true love..? I highly recommend this book - please give it a try! This book fit right in the "dystopia" label, honestly - even though I completely fell for this book my first time reading it, I grew a little more critical the next few times around.. I felt like the "star-crossed lovers" cliché didn't exactly "fit" Katniss and Peeta - I felt like Katniss would be better off with her sister, Prim, even in the absolutely terrible conditions of District 12 - that would have been a "happy ending" for her. Instead, Katniss is stuck in a confusing love triangle between basically useless Peeta and her long-time friend, Gale, and I feel like even though the bloody Hunger Games is supposed to be the "main" storyline of the series, the whole overwhelming romance thing just pushes everything else aside. Aside from the cheesy "romance" side of this series, I absolutely loved some parts of the book - the sacrifice Katniss made for Prim felt so.. so heartbreaking, but I was absolutely devastated when a specific friend of Katniss died in her arms.. The emotional aspect of such an event was so well captured in this book, how heartbreaking it would be to lose your family or friends.. I could not stop sobbing. This outshone the "romance" storyline for me, and now, I am happy to say that I believe that Suzanne Collins wrote an absolutely breathtaking novel.. thank you.

This book is one of the sadder books in the baby sitters club series. In this book, Stacey is moving back to New York City. Stacey doesn't know hoe to feel. On one side, she is happy to be returning to New York City, but she has finally started to feel like Stoneybrook is her home. One thing is for sure... the baby sitters cub will never forget Stacey.

This book represents the awkwardness of growing up. Margaret is experiences this difficulties that all of us girls can relate to. Judy Blume's heartwarming and interesting touch kept me from putting this book down. And the religious aspect, absolutely outstanding! Margaret's parents are Atheist, or don't believe in God. Margaret secretly prays to the God she felt is there in her heart, rather than what she learned from her parents. This book teaches us that growing up is difficult and that we aren't alone.

this book is so fun/ funny because.... this book is about when junieb's mom is pregnant with a baby and junie b jones hated that news! she had to sleep over at her grandpa's house! when her grandma came back from the hospital and told junie b jones that her brother looks like a cute monkey! junie b got so excited that at show and tell she told everyone that she has a monkey brother, not a human!!!!! everyone laughed and laughed!then at recess lucille and grace fighted for who will see junie b's monkey brother first! they kept on giving junie b stuff and being kind of nice! then she went to the office to explain what was going on! she told the principal about her monkey brother and she said: i am not joking, my grandma hellen miller told me this! then the principal said called home then he got the joke and explained it to junie b! the end!

Scarlet This is one of my all time favourite books, it is mainly aimed at higher aged children 10+ and is dramatic and has a deep story line. The author writes it so that you know exactly how the main character feels. This is one of my favourite books by Cathy cassidy (I have nearly read them all!) and I truly recommend it.

The 4 friends are all going different places for the first time in their lives this summer. It’s going to be very different. On their last day together before parting ways, they find a seemingly normal pair of pants in Carmen’s closet. But when they try them on, they realize the pants fit everyone perfectly!!! They must be magic, because they all have different body types and heights. They decide to send the pants back and forth during the summer so they can each have some of its luck. Get ready for a wild ride, because this book has a lot of fun and energy inside! I personally really enjoyed this book, but it does have some mature content, so I recommend it for grades 8 and up, maybe 7th grade if you are a mature reader. What will the Pants have in store for you?? :)

The story about Black Beauty had been started when he was just a foal. He was described as a horse with black coat, along with the black mane. But once when he got older, he got sold to many different hands (people who works with horses) such like; Squire and Lady Gordon, Miss W--, Miss Anna, etc. Beauty also friends with other horses; Merrylegs, Ginger, and Captain. Even though this book is fictional but the way the author, Anna Sewell wrote about Black Beauty has just felt so real. I had really enjoyed this book and this book would be perfect for any horses-lovers. - Happy Reading!

An harrowing eye-opening account of Adam's time after having broken up with Juliette. Necessary.

The Tale Of Despereaux is a very heart warming story of a mouse who is not liked by others and is different from a mouse in many ways. When Despereaux continues to not help his brothers and sisters find food and does not do what is is supposed to do, the mouse community decides to put him into the dungeon. When he is put into the dungeon, Despereaux does everything to get out of it. This is also the story of a Princess. I love this book!
