Big Nate is in middle school and is constantly in detention. In this book, Nate dreams up a big plan to surprise everyone at school but after several events, Nate finds himself in some hot water again. Nate is always funny to follow along on his silly adventures through school. Nate is easy to relate to and always exciting. I loved reading this book. It was a fun and easy read. I highly recommend it for kids of all ages!
I love this book! The perfect blend of comedy and novel, Big Nate: From the Top is great! It has vocab and humor that reach out to kids in any grade! Nate Wright is a trouble maker who gets detention practically everyday, and from multiple teachers! With his best friends Teddy and Francis by his side, he takes the frustrating yet funny ride of life. I rate this book 5 stars! For Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans! (I had to redo this review because the previous one somehow got deleted!)

I think this book was very well-written. Personally, this was not my favorite book. But that is because I do not really like to read comics. I know however, that many people do. Those that do enjoy anime, I think will like this book. It is original, and very funny. many jokes are made. There is no real plot line to this book, there is not a goal that is met. it is mostly just connected jokes. I recommend this book to younger children, and to cartoon and anime fans.
