I read this book because the author is one of my favorite writers. I was totally drawn into the plot because her descriptions were so realistic. I recommend this to readers who like historical fiction. I would rate it 5 stars.

this is a great book to read especially f you are into famous five, secret seven etc My stepbrother is very into this type of reading he is 12 nearly 13 he could read these and car books for hours on end.

This book is about a little kid named Kek who is from Africa and has been through a lot. He had to go to a refugee camp during a war but the camp was invaded, and he lost people he loved. He moves to America to live with his cousin and aunt, and works on a farm. He has a hard time adjusting to America and thinks Americans take things for granted. This book might make you sad, and it makes you think about the things we take for granted. It made me cry, it’s very emotional, and it makes me realize how much we have in America.

The Copper Gauntlet is the second book in the series of "The Iron Trial". First of all, I strongly suggest that if you have not read the first one to do so before reading The Copper Gauntlet. Otherwise several key factors will not make sense. In the Copper Gauntlet Cole has found out some plans of his father's-that don't look good for Cole. So he decides to run away until school starts. Then he will return to the Magisterium. But then Cole finds out an ancient weapon has been stolen-and his father is the prime suspect. Cole, Aaron, Tamara and Jasper must set out to prove his father innocent. I liked in this book that Cole and his "enemy" (Jasper) have to work together. There is a lot of tension in the book, and moments that you wonder what will happen. I like that even though there is a "real" enemy, there is also a smaller antagonist. I also liked that there were more settings beyond the school or Cole's house. In this book, the crew actually went out and had an adventure where lives were at stake. Something I didn't like in this book was that there did seem to be copied features that are expected. For instance, the main trio-Cole, Aaron and Tamara-seem to to replicate traits of the main characters of Harry Potter-Harry, Ron, and Hermoine. I would recommend this book to magic-lovers and all fantasy fans. Also, any people who like books such as Harry Potter. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book centers around a twelve year old kid named Call Hunt, who has been accepted into a school for magic called the Magisterium, though his father doesn't want him to attend. While at the school, Call makes new friends, new foes, and discovers a shocking secret about himself that turns his whole world upside down. This book was fast paced, original, and had plenty of funny moments too. It's got friendship, love and lots of mystery. Unlike most fantasy books, this one doesn't have the usually clear-cut lines between good and evil; on the contrary, it ends with a shocking plot twister that is sure to keep you on your toes and dying to read the next book. I would reccomend this to people that love fantasy, friendship, and fast paced adventure.

Michael Vey: Rise of the Elgen is the 2nd book in the Michael Vey series. It stars Michael Vey, a boy who is one of 17 children who have electrical-based powers. They are being researched by a company called The Elgen. Some of the “electric children” are on Vey’s side, but some support The Elgen. Since the Elgen kidnapped Michael’s mom, Michael goes to one of their bases to rescue her. This book has lots of action and is a page-turner. This series is also very similar to other series, namely the Percy Jackson series, so if you enjoyed those books, you’ll enjoy this book too. I recommend this book to kids in 5th to 8th grade. This book gets a 4 out of 5 from me.

This third novel in the unique Treasure Hunters series is even better than the first two. They travel to two locations: Germany and China. So it should really be called "Treasure Hunters: Across Europe and Asia". While on the journey, you learn about the tomb of Qin Shi Huangdi, Pablo Picasso, The Forbidden City, The Nazis, and about the past of the two eldest Kidd children: Tom and Storm.

In the second book in this really funny series, Luke's gym teacher, Mrs. Dunham, is swapped by an evil robot alien. His friend Lara becomes a superhero and he must save the world.

This was an amazing book. Being yourself is more than you can ever wish for!!

Warning! This review contains spoilers!There are two girls who are best friends, named Maddie and Peggy (or something). And everyday they tease this other girl named Wanda who seems to be very poor. Although she always wears the same dress, Wanda says she has a hundred dresses. Nobody believes her, so they make fun of her. Maddie doesn't like to tease Wanda (because she's poor too), but goes along with it anyway. But then something happens. What I thought of it: I can easily say that this is the stupidest book I have ever read. I mean no disrespect to the author, or anyone who liked it. I just really couldn't stand it. The writing was horrible. It was very sloppy, and unpleasant. The plot wasn't any good, and it barely made sense. The author didn't make it clear whether of not Wanda actually had a hundred dresses or not. I mean that's the only reason I even finished the book. All I wanted to know was whether or not Wanda had a hundred dresses, and I never even found out. I mean I read this book in 15 minutes and it was still a complete waste of time. Also, the author kind of just jumped from one time to another. One second it's sometime during October or a little after October, the next second it's Christmas time. The only transition was a single sentence that basically said "And then it was Christmas time". That really annoyed me. Also the characters were flat and uninteresting. There were many other flaws. Overall, it was a terrible book.
