Kids Books - Graphic Novels

How do you think it would feel to be the only one to stop a being of pure evil? In the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling.The protagonist is Harry Potter a teenage wizard boy who lives with his aunt and uncle. They treat him like he doesn’t even exist and his room is a cupboard under the stairs. The reason he lives with these horrible people is because his parents died at the hand of the antagonist Voldemort the greatest evil in the wizarding world. I find the book very interesting and descriptive. The author did a very well job making this book and this series in general. There are parts that made me quite sad as important things went on. Such as how someone very dear to Harry died right in front of him or how he has to struggle through having a very mean and evil teacher controlling Hogwarts. There are a lot of twists and times where you don’t know what to expect. J.K. Rowling created pure perfection in a paper back cover that will most likely live on and entertain many generations to come and withstand the test of time. Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix was a very thick book with eight hundred seventy pages and definitely not the last nor biggest book in the series. So far this book is my favorite and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great and long read. I believe J.K. Rowling did a amazing job in describing areas, characters and magical creatures in the book and the whole series. I also believe that this is straight from the heart and mind of the author and will inspire many whether it be adult or child to pursue their dreams and to never give up on what they believe in. The characters are all filled with such description from the way they speak to their dreams that they wish to come true. When you first introduced to characters you get a description of what their wearing, what they look like and how they seem to appear in stater. The ending was both wrapped up well and made me want to read more from the other books. I know I will feel sad when I finish the last two books, but I will feel happy to have read these books. I suggest this book to someone between the ages of 7 to adult because this book has odd words some people may not be able to pronounce.

I love Dog Man. I started reading the books in 4th grade when I was introduced to it. I was given a free paper dog man book with 33 pages. Anyways, I loved it. I bought two hardcover books for a total of $20. I read them both in one hour. My brother's school had a book fair and he bought to for $20, as well. Same thing happened with him, he read them both in one hour. I love these books, but that's just too much money for, 1. something (I know it purposely looks like that) that does not look like it took too much time to make, 2. something that takes you 30 minutes to read, 3 something that does not have many pages. Dog Man is the best, and I have read this one, it's about the adventures with his cat friends. I would definitely recommend that if you have not yet read the other books, I think you should before you read this one because you can get a better understanding of everything. I also have some pros and cons about the books for younger children, one of the cons is that they don't use "proper" language, but a pro about this book for younger children is that it does not take long to read, it's humorous, and it does not use a lot of big words, only one or two a book. Closing, I just don't think that this book is worth $10 dollars just for you to read it in 30 minutes. I am not trying to hate on Dog Man, y'all!! at my school I wanted to get Hilda and the midnight giant out but it wasn't there so I looked on the computer and it would not be back till april the 5th and when I got it out it was amazing.

Fourth grader girl Phoebe one day when she was at the pond, trying the skipping rocks until she had accidentally hit the magical unicorn by the rock. The unicorn said it's fine because tshe has a tendency to become awestruck by her own appearance by the relection of her. The unicorn's name was Marigold Heavenly Nostrils. Throughout the story, you would often see Phoebe with her unicorn friend during summer, schools years, etc. This is a graphic book so I recommend this book series if you like fantasy and graphic books. - Happy Reading!

Guts by Raina Telegeimer astounds me! Mainly because this book goes on a more personal level when talking about fears and anxieties. It an absolutely amazing story that is a must-read! Raina is in fourth grade, she is a shy self-consious nervous girl! After the rounds of stomach bug hit her school she gets a new fear! A fear of throwing up. Because of that she would get sensitive on conversation topics, and it didn't help that at the time fourth grade was a "gross out contest" But her fear of vomit made a new problem. She wouldn't eat!! AT ALL!?! Beans make you gassy and that would embarrass yourself! Cheese wouldn't be good either! AND DEFINITELY NOT ARTICHOKES. And with a family that has Tacos almost every day her parents start to notice, taking her to a therapist to help her out, her new therapist tells Raina everyone has fears! And you shouldn't be afraid! This book is truly wonderful and I'd hate to spoil it! So you should definitely check it out! And the best part its a true story about the author Raina Telegeimer herself! As she says! "It takes guts to face your fears!" So if your feeling afraid of anything this book can definitely help you get some self confidence 😁❤ Happy Reading!!

This is my favorite book series EVER! I really wish they'd make a movie of the books. (Not anyone but Universal, otherwise they'd mutilate it) It has betrayal, battles, war, queens, friendship, romance, action, jokes, Hunger Games-style arena warfare, prophecies, secrets, and characters you love (Hello, DoD, and you too, Jade Winglet. Also Darkstalker, Deathbringer, and Riptide. 'Cuz they're too awesome) and characters you'll hate. (coughcough Scarlet, Morrowseer, Blister, and Burn cough) I can not believe that Warriors is more popular than this. I mean, Warriors is okay, but it kind of "lost the magic," by the time the second series rolled around. This one is still going strong. And it has DRAGONS! Not to mention, when I reread Warriors, I thought "I read this in the second grade?" (When I was in 2nd grade, I was OBSESSED with Warriors. I don't really recall why.) Long story short: 2nd grade. Bedtime. Couldn't get to sleep. Pulled out A Dangerous Path. Mom made a 'no Warriors at bedtime' rule after that. (What? Those dogs were scary as heck.) Now, this does have some violence. (Mostly in the first book, because, hey, when much of the plot revolves around an arena where dragons fight to the death, not everyone's gonna make it out alive) But unlike Warriors, you usually won't be lying awake at night because you're afraid to go to sleep. (Though I did have a couple of nightmares about these once.) All in all, this series is five stars out of five!!!!! (For age rating, I would read this to a MATURE 3rd grader and up. Don't read it to younger kids unless you know them well and they are very hardy. I mean, like, 2nd grade. Don't read these to kindergartners. They probably wouldn't get it anyway.)

Have you ever been so hungry and craving something just right? Stick Dog is a dog that lives in a pipe under a highway. One day when he was with his friends, his belly rumbled. Their plan is to find and eat the perfect hamburger. Some funny things happen along the way! I really like this book. One reason I like it is because it’s very exciting and adventurous. Another reason is because the illustrations match the story perfectly. I really recommend that you read this book!

Dog Man Unleashed is the second book in the Dog Man series. It is written by the same author as Captain Underpants so if you like those books, you will LOVE this book. It is about a police man with the head and brain of a dog. There is a short summary of how that happened in the beginning of the book. But if you want to follow the entire series you should also read the first Dog Man book. In the book there are mysterious things happening and it is up to Dog Man to figure it out and stop the crime. This book was fun to read because of the entertaining story and vivid pictures. It also has instructions of how to draw the characters in the back of the book and a bonus comic. I personally would recommend this book for kids in grades 2-5.

AMULET By: KAZU KIBUISHI The story about curious girl and boy. the names are Emily and Navin and don't really say their mother's name but their dad died from a car crash. Emily is a female she is older and a stone keeper Navin is the youngest he is a male sibling. When Emily was a little girl and her mom and dad were driving to pick up Navin but they have an accident and Emily's dad died. So a few years later Emily and her brother Navin and their mom went to their old great-grandpa's old dangerous house. It was strange. Then a strange figure lures Emily and Navin’s mom through a strange basement. so they didn’t want to lose their mother they go follow her to an underground where there are demons, robots, and talking animals. Then they follow a strange man to a house where they meet their great-grandpa Silas Charnonand's robot named Miskit and they think they can save their mother. Emily is a stone keeper that is why it says on the cover of Amulet.

The book i read is called Big nateGame on by Lincoln peirce is realistic fiction.I like this book because it's about 3 sports and I like 2 of them.The sports are soccer, basketball and Baseball whitch i don't enjoy that much.I would reccomnd this book for anyone who likes sports.Big nate did all those activities and had fun with his friend. I will give you a sneak peak something bad happens in all of those sports.
