Surrounded By Sharks

I really like this book. It is about a boy named Davey and Davey is a nice person who likes to read. His family is at Aszure Island on vacation. He wakes up with nothing to do and decides to go outside with out letting anybody know. He decides to wade in the ocean but gets caught in a rip current and goes a little to far! Davey has had swimming lessons and has been swimming with his brother. When he is out in the open he is blazed by sun and is lonely. He finds out too late that he isn't the only one out there. He is soon joined by a Tiger Shark and some Blacktips. WHAT WILL HAPPEN??????
Neighborhood Sharks: Hunting with the Great Whites of California's Farallon Islands
By Katherine Roy
I don't really like nonfiction books but this book wasn't that bad.
Runny Babbit: A Billy Sook
By Shel Silverstein
This book is possibly for a slightly younger crowd than me, but I still like some of the poems, especially when the words are switched around and they make sense both ways. These are called spoonerisms, by the way, and they are fun to read and say!
The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas
By David Almond
The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas is an interesting story about a young orphan, Stan Potts. When Stan's parents died he went to live with his Uncle Ernie and Aunt Annie. But then Ernie lost his job, and became an entrepreneur, starting his own business in his home-canning fish. He cans fish and Stan is trapped inside the house-turned-factory. Ernie is out of control. One day Ernie does something cruel and so Stan runs away, to a carnival. He finds a new family, and is being taught new things. Then he gets the ultimate offer. Will he swim with piranhas? Will he go home? What will happen to young Stan Potts? This is one of those stories where you can't tell what genre it is. The Boy Who Swam with Piranhas is a mix of fantasy and realistic fiction. This is a book clearly meant for younger kids, although there are questionable parts where parents may not want their kids to read about. This is a book about family struggles, destiny, and finding yourself.

Malcolm at Midnight
By W. H. Beck
Malcolm is a rat undergoing a bit of an identity crisis, you see. Everyone thinks him a mouse because of his size, so he has gone from being on sale as python food to a comfy classroom pet. Then he meets the Midnight Academy during his first adventure outside the classroom. They are a secret society of classroom pets dedicated to keeping the kids of the school safe. They automatically assume he is a mouse too. His rat pride is yelling at him to tell them he is a rat, but rats have a terrible reputation: they are lying, skiving, thieving and selfish rats. When the Midnight Academy takes him on as a pledge, Malcolm is determined to prove that rats can be good too (excusing his lying about being a mouse), and tries really hard to be the fifth-grader he wants to be, one with merit and valor! However, almost everything he does leads the Midnight Academy’s second in command to think he is working with Snip - the cat who is terrorizing their school. And when Aggy the Iguana - the leader of the Midnight Academy - is kidnapped and all evidence points to him, he is locked in his cage. But Malcolm has nutter (kid) friends too and now it’s up to him (with encouragement from the nutters) to stop Snip from carrying out his evil plan, whatever that may be, find Aggy, be the fifth-grader he wants to be, and find Mr. Benny’s engagement ring. This book is a brilliant mystery and has characters with fully developed personalities. I think it will really appeal to fans of Humphrey the Hamster and other stories about animal/bug heroes. It is full of wit, humor, distrust and is all about learning who you really are and being who you want to be. After all, a critter reveals his true self at midnight.
Diary of a Worm
By Doreen Cronin
Dairy of a worm by Doreen Cronin is a book about a worm telling all of what happened every month. It's very funny because the worm eats his homework because he forgot his lunch. He thinks digging tunnels helps the earth breathe. This book is great for kids because it's very funny. The worm is the main character he is in all pages. My favorite part was the first two pages it was the funniest. You should read this book it's very good so go to the library and get the book. It's great for all ages.😉

And that's how it all started.
