Poached (FunJungle)

Poached (FunJungle)

By Stuart Gibbs

This is the second book in the FunJungle series by Stuart Gibbs, Teddy gets accused of stealing a koala by Large Marge, the head of security, who has a serious grudge on Teddy because he is always playing pranks. But he would never break the law! In order to prove his innocence, he has to find the real kidnapper, even though J.J. McKracken told him not to, or else he might fire his parents. Teddy, once again turns out to be smarter than Large Marge, who is so focused on busting him, she almost lets the kidnapper get away. On top of all that, he is getting bullied at school, but in the end, everything turns out fine, and Teddy even ends up at the popular table in the cafeteria. This book was all right, but I think that all of Stuart Gibbs' books are pretty much the same, it's always the same plot, same writing style, and same character personalities. My favorite series of his is Spy School, but after that it gets pretty repetitive.

Finding Danny

Finding Danny

By Linzi Glass

I read a book not that long ago ,A Dog's Purpose and what I like about these books are that the both show different perspectives. Finding Danny shows the persons view, and A dog's Purpose shows the dogs view. The main character is Bree Davies a 12 year old girl, she lost her dog Danny(her support dog for when her parents are gone), after her mom accidentally left the gate open. She is on a whole adventure trying to find him and some how manages to get the most popular boy to like her ,and meet a wonderful lady that helps her along the way. Now , I have a connection to this book aswell, I couldn't keep my dog anymore so I gave her to a friend which while she as over there hopped the fence and has been gone for about 3 1/2 months.

The Last Hope (Warriors: Omen of the Stars No. 6)

The Last Hope (Warriors: Omen of the Stars No. 6)

By Erin Hunter

The last book of the final series of Warrior Cats. This book is full of adventures and danger, with sadness and despair. With all of the four clans uniting to battle with the dark forest, under Firestar's lead, the four clans unite as one and defeated the dark forest's evil cats. I really admire Firestar because usually a kitty pet is not respected and treated really mean, however Firestar was treated well and other cats respect him as a true clan born, and other cats would want to follow him even the other clan leaders. I really liked this series from the starting to the end, even though it wasn't considered a happy ending. Firestar's character shows the life of some people work hard to earn their spot in society and get respected, when they started with nothing., however if you are willing to try you may succeed.

Bad News (The Bad Books)

Bad News (The Bad Books)

By Pseudonymous Bosch

I just finished a book called "Bad Luck" by Pseudonymous Bosch. The genre is fantasy because there are fantasy creatures in the book. I rated it " just right" on a scale of 1 to 5 of easy, going up to challenging. I think I would recommend this book for grades 4 to 6. I really liked this book, but it is the third in a series, so you should start with the first two which are really good too.

The Show Must Go On! (Three-Ring Rascals)

The Show Must Go On! (Three-Ring Rascals)

By Kate Klise, M. Sarah Klise

This book was very interesting. One note is that the book is obviously meant for younger kids, especially beginning readers. Half of the book is pictures, and much dialogue is conveyed through the pictures and speech bubbles. For the most part I could understand the plot line, but in some areas it was difficult. The story is about a famous circus. The owner needs a vacation, so he hires a man while he goes away for a week. Little does he know that the man is a fake, and his only goal is profit for himself. This is the story of the crazy week where the talking animals must face cruelty and a different life. i recommend this book to younger kids, and older kids might become bored.

Dolphin Adventure: A True Story

Dolphin Adventure: A True Story

By Wayne Grover

Title: Dolphin Adventure Author: Wayne Grover Genre Autobiography I would rate this book a ⅖ because it has so much more to offer i feel as though this experience could be more exciting instead of saving a dolphin imagine saving a shark. Some parts of this book are interesting, for example when the father dolphin bolts into the shark to save the baby. I recommend this book to 2nd to 5th because it could be a good challenge for 2nd grade but something easier for a 5 grader.
