At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

This paperback edition will include a never-before-seen short story, "The Crown of Ptolemy," in which Percy and Annabeth fight alongside Carter and Sadie Kane, and more bonus content!

this is a really good book. If you have read the mark of Athena, I suggest you read this. Annabeth and Percy fall into Tartarus while the rest of their crew is in the overworld trying to find the house of Hades and meet Percy and Annabeth.

This book is a good book. It's about a group of demigods on a ship called the Argo ll. A demigod is a mortal/person that believes in the Greek or Roman god and are claimed by a god. The main characters are Leo, Hazel, Jason, Piper, Nico, and Frank. What they do is that they try to find the house of hades to close the doors of death. The book has 597 page so if you don't like to read a lot of pages then I don't recommend it. But if you do like Greek and Roman mythology and like long books I recommend this book. While they were traveling during the quest they ran into a lot of monsters and problems. They ether run in to bad gods or a lot of monsters. On time they got attacked and the Argo ll got shut down for a while.

My favorite part is when leo goes to calisos island and they hate each other (spoiler alert beep beep) and they love each other in the end. will leo come back for here find out in The Blood of Olympus

CALEO!!! And did not expect that, Nico... please no Pernico.... In my opinion this is my favorite book series hands down. This book had so many twists and turns and it was fun to see how vital Percy and Annabeth are to the Seven. My heart goes to Leo and Nico and their daily struggles. I loved the Percabeth touches too. Please read you won't regret it.

This is, hands down, my favorite Heroes of Olympus book. I enjoyed it more than any other book in the series. I didn't like the Tartarus chapters as much as the chapters of the other seven, but this was still a great book. I specially loved the scenes where Nico appears, since we get to understand him better, and what he went through. I was really sad when I got to the ending, especially because of two characters that I started to love. This book also teaches us that just because you are supposed to be one way, you don't have to change to become what other people see you as.
