This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

This book is an amazing magical book about witches and other magical creatures. It is so exciting and adventurous that is takes my breath away, I definitely recommend this book!

This book was good, but it was not my favorite. It was well written and I enjoyed it. My favorite part was when Hagrid burst into Harry's 'house' in the middle of the ocean and told him he was a wizard. Good job.

Good book and very imaginary

This book is full of rich details that made me think i was in the book.I could picture everything because of the details.I loved it

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a very great book. Harry is a wizard who lives with his horrible aunt and uncle who have a snotty son. Harry's family doesnt treat him right what so ever. They dont acceot him for being a wizard. He sleeps under the stairs!! With the help of friends and a school for people like him, he begins his journey to becoming a great and powerful wizard.

The Harry Potter books are truly great....and I feel like they will be classics along with Alice in Wonderland and A Catcher In The Rye. It does start out a little slow in the start, but this is because they need to provide you with some background information, and let you get to know Harry a little before the Hogwarts drama begins..... and also, like this if you are in Slytherin house!

I'm totally Slytherin!

i really liked this book it is amazing it was awesome it was so freaking great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book actually started my love of reading. I recommend this to anyone who even only moderately likes reading.
