Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I love this book 🌝⛄

I LOVED this book! It was so touching and heartwarming. I highly suggest it.

This book is about Auggie, he was born differently from others( that is what my friends told me) and he was home schooled until his parents allowed him to go to school, i am mot going to spoil the whole thing and i heard that there was a movie about it, i really recommened it :) because it shows us everyone is different in their own ways

when he was born, his genes went wrong causing him to appear deformed. so yes, he was born differently

I really like this book. It highlights the struggles of being different and not accepted.

I rate this book five stars out of five because it was amazing! The book Wonder is about a boy named August or Auggie for short. He is born with a facial difference. His mom has homeschooled him his whole life until fifth grade. But now she wants him to go to school. A few days before school started the principal of the school he was going to, got three kids to give Auggie a tour of the school. Julian, Jack will, and Charlotte. I think the theme in this book is never judge a book by its cover because on the outside August looks different but on the inside he is super nice and would be a great friend. This book made me feel super sad when Jack Will was talking behind August's back because they were good friends before Jack Will said that to Julian. I think if you like books about kids with disabilities or differences this book would be great for you!

This book is about a boy named August and and he has a facial difference and that prevented him from going to school until now. He is going to a new school everyone is different and new. And so far he has got 1 friend. I think that this book is a really good book Auggie is so sweet and smart and he really to never give up and perseverance. Because in this book the characters are facing a difficult task but he never gave up. If you like

I Love this book! The book Wonder is about a boy named August (Auggie) who has facial differences, and he was homeschooled for his whole life, until his mom signs him up for a public school, he agrees to go there but if he wants to his mom said he an quit at any time, but then during Halloween his "friend" starts making fun of him with his friends when they thought he wasn't at school yet, but they didn't know that he was listening to the whole conversation, and that's it so far because then it switches to his sister Via's point of view...

I love this book soooooooo much!! It has a great message.

The book Wonder is about a boy named August he has a facial difference he wants to try going to school because he hasn't gone to school in a while. He looks different then everyone else. I think the theme in this book is don't judge a book by it's cover because even though August is different does not mean that you can bully August. I would give this book one star because in Wonder nothing is really happening and I am on page 50, that is why I do not like Wonder. This made me realize that there is a connection, because there is another book that is called Out Of My Mind, it is about a girl named Melody and she has a disabilities too. If you like books that are about the main character and they have problems or disabilities this is the book for you!
