Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.
The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.
I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.
August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Aggie (August) is born differently than other kids and has dreams of becoming an astronaut when he grows up but he's bullied by some kids in his school on the way he looks but Aggie has a few friends who stand up for him. I love this book so much I especially love the movie. I hope you try it out!
I thought it was sad both the movie and the book TnT 😥
This book was amazing super lets see how the movie is
I think that it is excellent. I very much recommend this to people who like "Cats vs. Robots" by Margeret Stohl.
Wonder tells the story of overcoming differences and finding true friendship. Most people love it, but for me there was something that was a little off. I would reccomend it to people ages 9 and up (because it mentions older kids smoking and there's a bit of violence).
August Pullman is a boy who has”facial issues”.Since he was born he has had surgeries 24/7.He gets teased a lot by Julian Albans, but Jack Will’s got his back. This book is about to never be rude and to always to be kind.
When Auggie Pullman is born with a facial difference, his life and many others were changed forever. Because of his multiple surgeries and times when he was sick, he wasn't allowed to go to school, instead he was home schooled by him mom. But that all changed when Auggie gets unrolled into a private school called Beecher Prep. Nervous about the attention and special treatment he knows he'll receive, he hopes to find a friend to talk to. But things are hard for him because people aren't used to his looks. Eventually, he makes a couple friends, Jack Will and Summer. But he also makes an enemy, Julian, who bullies him from the minute he sees him. When an incident occurs with his best friend and himself, Auggie finds himself mostly alone and unwanted. Will the universe start being kinder to Auggie, or will he be forced to live his life the way he had for so long, alone and afraid? Told in the perspectives of many characters, R.J Palacio brightens the room and melts our hearts in this heartwarming tale about choosing kind. I rate this book a five star because of the touching moments in this fabulous book.
