Mark is a normal kid, He likes to take pictures, He likes writing Haikus in his notebook. He has a dog named Beau and a best friend named Jessie. He dreams of climbing a mountain one day. The only thing is he’s sick, Like the sick that means hospital, the kind of sick that people never get better from. So mark runs away, he leaves his home with a Camera, His dog, his notebook and a dream, and if it’s the last thing he does , he wants to climb a mountain, the highest mountain. In the book The Honest Truth by Dan Gemeinhart the protagonist Mark works to climb that “mountain.” The setting involves many places like, Mark’s house, A cafe in Seattle, A bus, And a mountain. In this book you can find the struggles Mark has along the way. He faces the highest mountain, and how he gets there and he finds struggles with sickness. If you like emotional and touching stories I recommend this book.About 7 years agotirdion1718is now following alestr1718.

“ He brushed his lapels and descended stairs as noiselessly as he had come, past the empty bedrooms, away from the clatter of rain on the conservatory’s windows, out the front door, past the swinging sign. SOLD, it read. He would return soon.” If you liked this little poem, you will like this book, “The House Of Months And Years” by Emma Trevayne. In this book, it takes off in Amelia’s room near her window. “She sees a shadow of a guy far below the window, his suit is old, musty, creased, and his hair is wild. He would return soon.” She wonders why he puts a sign that says “Sold” in the front of her house. She starts feeling very curious. This content is appropriate for all readers.About 7 years agokylrow1718 added a book review.
Has someone ever judged you because you want to do something? You should always follow your heart no matter what people say. If yes then you should read the book The Football Girl by: Thatcher Heldring. The book is based in Pilchuck, Washington. The antagonist in the book is named Tessa Dooley and the protagonist is Caleb. Tessa and her friends do cross country till Tessa meets a new friend name Caleb who plays flag football and then they start playing flag football together. Then there starts to be judgement from Caleb and his friends. Now that it's the summer of ninth grade Tessa is debating whether to continue to do cross country with friends or do football with Caleb. If you want to know more you should read the book The Football Girl by: Thatcher Heldring. I Recommend this book to someone who is sixth grade and up and who like sports or people that believe you should always follow your heart.About 7 years agoelimac1718 added a book review.
Have you ever imagined being an illegal third child? In addition to being an illegal child you have to learn how to blend in with new surrounding. Well the book Among the Imposters by Margaret Peterson Haddix shows just that. “Among the Imposters” is the second book in a series called Shadow Children. Luke Garner or should I say Lee Grant, all of his life he’s been hiding avoiding the population police. Population police are officers who encourage the law of illegal third children to help population levels decrease. They also invade people’s homes searching for exneys (illegal thrid children), executing the third children when they figure that they are actually third children. Luke was sent to the school of Hendricks with a fake I.D playing the role of a boy named Lee Grant. Hendricks School of Boys is a windowless school with brutal students who disrespect Luke, and the teachers are absolutely oblivious. One day Luke discovers a door that leads outside. Will Luke discover what lies outside of the Hendricks school? Will his question unfold? You have to read Among the Imposters to find out. I recommend this book or series for people in 5-8 grade who enjoy exciting thrillers because I feel that this has a pretty deep content. I also feel they might not understand the meaning, and purpose of the book or series. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did.About 7 years agoelimac1718's book review was featured in Among the Impostors (Shadow Children Book 2).
