pudgyjeon's book review was featured in The Goose Girl.
As soon as I finished reading this book, I immediately went to Dogo to write a review. In the beginning, the book was a bit hard to get into, as it was more slow-paced and uneventful, but soon after, Shannon Hale didn't disappoint. There was action, drama, and suspense! If it were a movie, I'd watch it ten times over, as it is, I'm probably going to read it multiple times. It follows along the basic plot of "The Goose Girl" by the Brothers Grimm but adds breezy and immersive descriptions, beautiful characters, and commendable plot that turns it from a bed-time story to a fantastical, spellbinding tale of betrayal, friendship, and a fair share of magic.

pudgyjeon's book review was featured in Anne of Avonlea (Second Book in the Anne of Green Gables Series.).
This book... This book is such a beloved classic for such good reason. It was so full of imagery and brilliant plot that I was sad to reach the end. One thing I will say though, is that Avonlea seems just a little too perfect. Aside from the one disaster and some minor scrapes, everything happens so that life flows idylly. Other than that, the book was written splendidly with lots of care. Even though this book is suitable for readers of all ages, there are many profound quotes and little gems that may not be picked up by a younger crowd. It just refreshes and makes me happy every time I read an "Anne of" book because they're so wholesome and gracefully written. The author, L.M. Montgomery is a literary genius. I can't wait to follow Anne along on her journey.

Hi Dogo Team! National Geographic used to not really appeal to me when I was younger, but now that I'm a bit older, I really want to start getting into it. But it's not just for me, I have a sister who absolutely ADORES nonfiction, but is really shy about posting on this website. And if I could win this, she'd probably devour it and we'd both be happy! I feel like National Geographics' are the type of book that you can read over and over again, and still surprise yourself with hidden facts. For me, the appeal is the fact that it's personality quizzes! I love, love, love those! They are so much fun and I enjoy seeing if anyone in my family got the same answer as me. Thanks for reading! :) Good luckk

pudgyjeon's movie review was featured in The Little Rascals.
This was my favorite movie for a while. With its hilarious and audacious characters and great actors, the movie was born in 1995 and continued as a favorite movie on Netflix all the way to the modern year of 2021! That's a range that is superior to many other '90's movies. It's definitely feeling like a refreshing spin-off of Romeo and Juliet. Instead of different families hating each other enough to be called archenemies, it's that classic theme of Boys versus Girls. I love how they took a whole plot that standardly would be with teens, and created it with little kids, hence the name. It's such a funny movie and non-serious. Despite that, lessons about friendship and acceptance are subtly induced. Would 100% recommend for really anybody interested in any genre!

pudgyjeon's movie review was featured in Elemental.
This movie is so much more than a basic forbidden love story. It beautifully weaves in the hardships that immigrants can face when first coming to a land. At first there was just Air, Water, and Earth. Ember's parents are the first Fire people to live in Element City, and that comes with great responsibility and unwelcoming gawks. Slowly but surely, the population of Fire people grows until they have a steadfast community. Ember's dad is growing weaker by the day, and their convenience store needs a new caretaker, and Ember seems like the perfect fit. Her passion! Her spirit! ...Her temper? She has a hard time controlling it, until it explodes and Wade Ripple pops up in her life. Together they overcome obstacles and discover their true purposes. Elemental is sort of basic with its story line, but in my opinion, one big, unexpected, and refreshing twist lets you skate over that fact. I'd say that a theme this movie conveys is definitely sort of coming-of-age. It's great for people of all ages, from little kids to all adults! Five stars, easy.
