Game Changers by Mike Lupica What if there was a kid that tried to steal your best friend, make fun of you on the court, and beat you doing whatever it takes? Ben Mcbain had to go through all of that in one basketball season. The book took place on the basketball court and in Ben’s neighborhood. The protagonist name is Ben, and the antagonist is Chase Braggs. Chase Braggs is a kid from a rival town, Darby. Chase always tried to humiliate Ben doing whatever it took. By acting like he pushed him, calling him names, and celebrating after every shot he made. Some conflicts Ben had to overcome were when Chase, Ben, and his best friend Lily were at the Movie theatre getting a pizza. Chase was trying to be Lily’s best friend. It made Ben a little jealous. Chase started bad mouthing Ben’s team in quietly. Ben started to yell at him and he left angrily. It made Ben look bad in front of his best friend. Another conflict Ben had to overcome was when he lost his friend Sam to an injury. His team suffered without Sam and Ben thought the injury was his fault because he made Sam play with him at night and Sam stepped in a hole he couldn't see. That is the turning point in the book because Ben had a bad attitude about things and didn't love basketball as much as he used to. Without Sam, the Rams went 0-2. Will the Rams turn things around or will they fall in defeat? I really liked this book and I think you would too.

Have you ever been away from home for a long time? Yanek Gruener has. He was away from home for 6 years in 10 different concentration camps. Yanek had to survive at these labor camps. They had one meal a day, soup and bread, and most were killed for no reason except for amusement of the Nazis. The Nazis were the antagonist and Yanek was the protagonist. The Nazis were starving Yanek, and making him work like crazy. One major conflict is that Yanek is away from his family, who were taken into a concentration camp before he was. Another major conflict is trying to survive. Some Nazis like Amon Goeth sat on a balcony and shot Jews during roll call. He had to keep quiet and do what he is told. I recommend this book for 6th graders and up because of some of the content.

Best book I ever read. It is a depressing story of Yanek Gruener. It's the first book I read about the holocaust. Now I want to watch Schindlers list.

Solving the Rubik's Cube in 60 seconds may not seem like a big deal. In fact, it is painfully slow considering that 15-year-old world record holder Collin Burns is able to compl...
