I think this is the first classic book that I actually ENJOYED. I read the "kids" version for a book report in 3rd grade and really enjoyed it. The "full" version is even better. I liked how Jack London showed what BUCK thought at the moment since many other books hide the feelings of a dog. Overall, very fun to read. I'd recommend for Grades 5+

This book answered a lot of my questions about legal (and illegal) matters. John Grisham has also made the book "kid-friendly", but you can tell that he is trying to show flaws in laws and the unfair situations there sometimes is.

The book is amazing. Yann Martel does a fabulous job of really bringing you into the moment. He uses a lot of metaphors that might confuse younger readers and there is a lot of content involving Indian culture. After reading the book, I realized that the movie was very well made and accurately. I would recommend this book for 7th graders and older.
