I really liked this book! It was written more than 2 decades ago, yet it's still pretty relevant. It's about a girl named Melinda, who is an outcast now because she called the cops after something bad happened to her at a party. I liked how she slowly learnt that she needed to speak up. And she managed to stand up to IT in the end! This is a great book for ages 12 and older.Over 2 years agoilluminae added a book review.
I've read this book more than I've read any other book in my life. It is such a light read, I read this whenever I am bored or in the car. It's funny and I like Ben and Erica's dynamic, however one-sided it may be. Would definitely recommend.Over 2 years agoilluminae added a book review.

This book follows the adventures of a teen who is a master thief and criminal who operates from the slums of a city called Ketterdam, and the heist he must pull off along with a gang of fellow criminals. The heist, however, has a catch, The seven criminals must save a scientist who has created a brilliant yet dangerous invention: a drug that enhances the powers of Grisha, who are people with extraordinary abilities. I loved this book because of the complexity of the heist, and the personalities of all of the gang. They all have their own special additions to the crew, and I loved the mix of characters. In addition, Leigh Bardugo's writing is impeccable and really keeps you wanting more. 5 stars for sure.Over 2 years agoscythe123 added a book review.
Great book for anyone 11 or older! This is a novel about a girl named Jam who lives in a supposed utopia where all the monsters of a city called Lucille have been defeated by angels, who now keep the city safe. However, when a drop of Jam's blood falls on her mother's painting, it releases a creature that calls itself Pet. And Pet comes with a frightening message: there's a monster in Lucille. And she finds something even scarier- the monster is in her best friend's house.Over 2 years agoscythe123's book review was featured in Unwind (Unwind Dystology).
Amazing start to an amazing overall series! This series is about a society where everything is similar to today's society, except one thing. When a kid is between 13 to 18 years old, they can be unwound, meaning that 99% of their body can be taken out, and later be given to someone who needs it. And the kid's parents are the ones who can fill the forms out to get kids unwound. And believe it or not, tons of kids get unwound. Connor just misbehaves. Risa is just not good enough to stay at the ward she is in. And Lev is a tithe, a kid who is created so that they can get unwound. All these chatacter's paths meet, and they all work together to survive, and later to help stop unwinding.Over 2 years ago
