The Fiercest of Warriors?

Vero Leland always suspected he was different from others his own age, ever since his childhood attempts to fly. But he never could have predicted the truth―or how much his life was about to change.

Soon after his twelfth birthday, Vero learns he is a guardian angel and is abruptly transported to the Ether, the spiritual realm that surrounds the earth. Yet before he can be counted among these fierce warriors, Vero must learn to master his growing powers, competing with other angels-in- training and battling demonic creatures known as maltures as well as mythical creatures such as the leviathan.

Until his instruction is complete, Vero needs to alternate between the Ether and his regular life. If he survives training and accepts his destiny―a destiny he did not choose―he must leave everything behind, including his family and the life he loves. Meanwhile, an evil is growing―the maltures are rising, and Vero appears to be their target.

I really enjoyed this book. It starts off with this boy named Vero who was adopted when he was a baby, and it it now present time which twelve years past. When he was a little child Vero always thought he could fly, so he would jump off, but he couldn't fly and a person always catches him. The person told him to stop until you are older. Later he found out he was a guardian angel which changes everything. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!!!! It's kind of follows this theme: Good vs. Evil. This story had me going and was very interesting. At first it was kind of slow, but later it became faster and faster. I really liked the book and how it was all set up.

A great YA book - beautifully written with exciting action sequences…story of a young boy who dreams he can fly. turns out that he can! he's actually an angel destined for greatness in the battle between good and evil.

This book was a little weird. It had some parts where I didn't really get what they were trying to do. And some parts were just confusing. All together this was not a very good book.

This book was really good. I like how it gives you a whole new look to the world and angels. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it has too many religious stories in it. Other than that, it was a great book.

It's so thrilling and exciting talking about a boy who is a guardian angel! It's even like a battle between good and evil! I think the lesson is that to fight to discover the strenght and true prupose in ourselves no matter what your destiny may be!
