I read this book because I saw a bunch of other kids reading the Who Was books. I really love history, and Who Was George Washington? was great, it gave lots of information about our first President. But I don't like it that much, in my own opinion. It's still OK though! Great for school libraries.

George Washington was only 11 when his father died . His mother was very mean. As George got older he got to get away from his mother. In George's life he and went from normal to a solider twice. He worked very hard to be a solider and tried very hard to win the battles. When George finally retired , every one wanted him to be the first President of the United States. I recommend this book to all ages and I rate this book 4/5 stars . Thank you for reading my review! -Pizzagirl7š
I connected to this book from the time when I read another book about George Washington. First George Washington is born in the early 1700s. Next he becomes the first president of the United States. Last he dies peacefully on Mount Vernon. I would give this book a four star because it does a good job of talking about George Washington's life.
