This is the 3rd book in a series, and it's my favorite out of all of them. This book has a lot of mystery but it is also funny.

This book is really good! On the challenging scale, I would give it a 3 - just right! The summary is basically that there are these people, Ms Mauvias and Dr L. They are the bad guys. They basically go around and convince people to trust them and then they change their skin so that if they are like 100 or something, it would look like they are 20. In this book, they take a bunch of kids and force them into child labor making chocolate. They want this special chocolate to make them immortal. But then Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yoji stop them by telling the police and stuff. There is a lot more, but you know, SPOILERS!! I would recommend this book to 3rd - 7th grade.

Max-Ernest, Yo-Yoji, and Cassandra, three 12-year-old kids, are part of the Terces society. That means they are dedicated to protecting the secret of immortality from the evil Midnight Sun. Last time, they defeated the Midnight Sun and destroyed their headquarters, the Midnight Sun spa. But where is the Midnight Sun now? One day someone drops a box full of magazines on the doorstep of Cass's grandfathers' shop. At the bottom of the box is a magazine with the Skelton Sisters, teenage celebrities, and members of the Midnight Sun on it. But that's not all. In one picture, they're standing next to a "nun" who is actually Ms.Mauvais, the leader of the Midnight Sun! The magazine even says they're in a chocolate plantation on the Ivory Coast! But what would the Midnight Sun want with chocolate? Then, Señor Hugo, an evil chef, kidnaps Cass's mom! He demands the Tuning Fork, a legendary artifact with the power to make food taste like anything! But when Cass gives him the fork, he doesn't release Cass's mom! Not only that, Señor Hugo reveals that he is a member of the Midnight Sun! Now, the Midnight Sun has Cass's Mom and the Tuning Fork! Max-Ernest, Yo-Yoji, and Cass will have to find the Midnight Sun before it's too late! But what are they planning? I liked this book because it was funny and exciting. But I didn't like the illustrations were sort of weird.

I loved this book!!!! I think anyone who likes mystery and suspense would love this book! I love this author because he is extremely good at writing suspense. I dare you to read this, please would you read it?

So amazing

7 year old: This book series is awesome, but I like the Bad Books a little better. 9 year old: I really liked this series (pseudonymous Bosch loves chocolate!) Mom: We all loved this series, it's got some creepiness factors to it, and I think we all like the Bad Books just a bit better, but this series plays with eternal life and the creepy things the bad guys had to do to get eternal life. Our good guys kept thwarting their plans mwahaha.

i recommend this book its a really good book

I'm enjoying it and i am just starting, but i love how the author is not all about the story. he takes you out of the story into his study and you have a little chat with him about chocolate. he keeps you to the edge of your chair.

this book is great for kids like me who love a mystery and fiction books!
