I loved the first book, but this one was disappointing. It just didn't have the same magic the first book did, and had a couple of weird parts. I would definitely recommend the first book though!

Everything for a dog is an amazing book and it kind of has a twist to it .It is about a dog who was born in a shed with his sister but once they go venturing out on their own things start to go downhill from there they end up getting lost and separated.Henry is a young boy who has desperately wanted a dog but his father once had one and from there he never ever got one again. But Bone the dog who is now running around homeless,Henry has plans to go and catch him. Read this book to find out the little adventure everyone goes through.

this book is so cool I love it

Hello, I am Dorkpop2000 and today I will be reviewing, ‘Secret Diary! (Lou!)’. Lou is a 12 year old girl. Her hobby is making handmade dresses. She lives in a little flat in France with her single mum. Sounds quite normal, right? As I continued reading the book, it was seemly interesting hearing about her ‘normal’ life. It was quite funny. Lou’s mum gave me the most laughs, she bought her this console for Christmas and it turned out that her mum used it all the time! It wasn’t her’s anymore! She ends up with a crush, so does her mum, they get a cat, her grandmother coming over to their house and more. I am quite disappointed not many people know about this book, it’s really good!

The beauty of Stay Where You Are and Then Leave is that it shows life before World War I, during it, and after it, all from the eyes of a child. Alfie Summerfield is five years old when his father, Georgie, proudly volunteers to join the British army and fight in World War I. Four years later, Alfie and his mother are almost penniless, and can hardly go to sleep every night, terrified of seeing Georgie's military number on 'the list' in the morning paper. When Alfie realizes that his father hasn't been sending letters anymore, his mother tells him he's on a secret mission...but he soon learns the truth. His father is in a hospital nearby with shell shock-- and Alfie will stop at nothing to bring him back home...What amazes me most in SWYA&TL, is how exquisitely John Boyne weaved the theme of love into his novel. I also admire how extraordinarily Boyne was able to write from a nine year-old's perspective: I really felt like I was in a nine-year-old's mind while reading this. One thing I did realize though, was that there were too many coincidences (Alfie finding about about his father’s condition, Marian being there to lead him to the hospital…) not making it realistic enough. I also felt that it dragged on in the beginning-- so I guess you just have to have the right taste for this book: it isn't one of my favorites. In contrast to the language of this read, the themes, symbolism, and foreshadowing are admirably advanced, so this is fit for anyone 11 and older.

Short and sweet! But really short. :) Good message. I read that with my class last year and we made broccoli necklaces like Milo! Except we printed them out, they weren't real!

I have seen the movie , great movie by the way, and I would like to see how the book plays out. 😺
