All of you guys out there, you should totally read this book! America's fat cat is back!!! And this is the book that started it all (I think!). It's the very first book of the renowned Garfield series. And even though this is the first book, the same great humor is still there! The only weird thing is that Garfield and the characters look kind of different than the Garfield you picture in your mind since this is the first book. Overall, though, AWESOME BOOK!!

I like this book because it shows how kid can do stuff they never thought they would do. I think you would like this book if you would like to know how friendship works and if you would like to be sitting on the edge of your seat.

KUBO IS MY HERO!

I am a huge fan of the Lunch Lady graphic novels by author Jarrett J. Krosoczka, who wrote this book, Platypus Police Squad: The Ostrich Conspiracy. This book is part story and part drawings, so kids get a nice blend of both and that sometimes helps kids read more. I know I still really like having pictures in my books. First of all, this book is like part mystery and part comedy. Detectives Zengo and O’Malley have a new case: to solve the mystery of what is going on at the scene of a film set and figure out why someone would want to do this. What does movie star Chase Mercy have to do with it, and what is the Mayor hiding? Can the Platypus Police Squad get to the bottom of this? “C’mon kid. We could use a good hot dog after all this.” There are some serous topics talked about in this book about lying, not being honest, and how important it is to take care of the environment because it can seriously affect our soil and water that we drink. I thought it was funny they use boomerangs as their police weapons. This helps keep the violence out of kids’ books. I liked this book and I think it is a book series both boys and girls will really like and read over and over!

I really liked this book! It was very devious - just as it led you to believe one thing - it twisted it and said something else. The two main characters were very likeable and funny, and the way how their backyard antics led to something much bigger than themselves really made me laugh and sit on the edge of my seat for more. The code mentioned in the book was very helpful to move the book forward and the main thing that I learned is that nothing is how it seems. Happy reading! ~ Lotte Parker

This book has EXTREME situations that it tells u what to do and how to deal with it .this would be a great book to take deep in the woods hiking(such as me and my family do) one the things is helps you know what to do is be careful touching certain leafs and how to survive a rattlesnake encounter and lots of other things!I actually could this at a thrift store and I was so excited when I could it!I recommend this book to all ages (and hikerz😅) and I rate this book 4/5 stars 😁 😁 Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

I reccommend this book to everyone who enjoys graphic novels and humor! It is about Big Nate and his adventures and life. Every book of Big Nate’s is full of color and humor. If you haven’t read it before, make sure you get a chance too!

After his failed invention, he wants to create something bigger, and better with the robots help, but his arch-nemesis may prove to be an obstacle. In a science-filled story, Jon Scieszka writes an illustrated adventure that is great for younger readers. My thoughts: I thought this book was a fast and fun read. I liked everything about this book, and I think young readers will love it, as well as fans of science. The illustrations were amazing, and I love the cover. This was a wonderful start to a sure-to-be-loved middle-grade series!
