Emma on Thin Icing (Cupcake Diaries)

Emma on Thin Icing (Cupcake Diaries)

By Coco Simon

Cupcaker Mia Velaz-Cruz's mom is getting married! Emma Taylor, fellow Cupcaker, is overjoyed: she's all about light pink and satin and vanilla cake, after all. But that doesn't trump the fact that Emma's family is in a financial pickle. Her mom recently got laid off indefinitely, and now Emma has dog-walking, babysitting, and the Cupcake Club to do to help out and sometimes earn money. So when Emma finds out the selected bridesmaid dress is $250, she's horrified; there's no way she can ask her parents for that kind of money! Emma decides to take matters into her own hands. She doesn't want to tell Mia in fear that she'll kick her out of the wedding, or any of her friends. Despite her efforts, though, her responsibilities begin to overwhelm her. A real tearjerker about families struggling money-wise, this is a beautiful and hearttouching novel for all ages.

Attack of the Dragons (Geronimo Stilton Micekings #1)

By Geronimo Stilton

The Geronimo Stilton series is very funny, and also are very colorful and include many illustrations on almost every page. In this book, Geronimo encounters a terrifying dragon while on the search for a cure for a village's cook. I rate this book 5/5, and recommend it for elementary school kids. I recommend this book to people who also enjoy the Magic Treehouse series.

And hilariously. As the Gilbreth family pulls together, they go through all sorts of hilarious experiences and events that keep you laughing throughout the whole book. This was a really great read.

Emily's Runaway Imagination (rpkg)

Emily's Runaway Imagination (rpkg)

By Beverly Cleary

nac

Emily loves to read. She can't get enough books in her small town, But her imagination sometimes has a mind of its own. She knows she can change their small little town with a little touch of imagination- as long as it doesn't get carried away. Emily is very funny, and has a very big imagination, which reminds me of my own self.
