The Reptile Room, Movie Tie-in Edition (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 2)

By Lemony Snicket

Wow. This book was amazingly written. These stories r so interesting that I finish these books and only an hour! It keeps making the readers wanting more and more. Luckily there r so many more books for me to read in this series! Ok so this book is abt how Violet (the inventor age 14) Klaus (the reader age 12) and Sunny ( the bitter age..baby..?) move into a new home. After what count Olaf did to them at their old home,Mr. Poe, that has been finding new guardians for them, found their uncle Monty. His name is Montgomery Montgomery. But the kids call him uncle Monty because he doesn't like his name. He is a snake scientist and he has an entire room full of adventurous snakes. When the kids moved in,they settled very quickly, bc their uncle Monty is so kind and thoughtful. Until Monty hires a new assistant, but little did he know it was Count Olaf in disguise as Stephano! Count Olaf tried everything to take the kids, even trying to take them to peru! After his plans never seam to work, olaf gets two needles together, adds poisonous deadly snake venom, and kills uncle monty. The kids know it was him,but bc the needles look like snake bits, they have no proof. Instead, they r sitting there crying abt there uncle Monty, and thinking abt the lasts moments they had together. What happens next is crazy, but I don't want to spoil it so read this one to find out! Love this book I totally recommend it! 5 stars

The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 1)

The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 1)

By Lemony Snicket

Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire lived a happy life in their mansion with their parents. Violet was an inventor, Klaus loved to read, and Sunny had four sharp teeth that she bit everything with. But on one unexpected day, Mr. Poe, a banker, told the children that their parents died in a fire. Their parents had a big fortune that would go to Violet once she came of age. Their parents' wills had clearly stated the children must be raised by a relative. The children were sent to live with Count Olaf. He gave them hard chores to do everyday, and did not give them great living conditions. After living with Count Olaf for awhile, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny figured out he wanted the fortune. He cooked up a plan to get the Baudelaire fortune, and it was up to Violet, Klaus, and Sunny to stop him. I loved this book, and I could not put it down. Lemony Snicket does a great job, and I feel as if I am in the story; it is as if I am chopping wood with them and feeling their misery. I recommend this book to boys and girls ages 10+.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 15

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 15

By Jeff Kinney

The misfortunes and misadventures of the Heffley family still make me laugh, although I’m beginning to think Murphy’s law should be renamed Heffley’s law as luck so rarely seems to be on their side! A quick read that entertains and amuses with situations that are often comparable with and relatable to our own unfortunate happenings. The story continues while the family ended up losing their house after the extra house construction drama which did more harm than good. Aunt Reba, thank you for the chaos in this series 🤦 I see a huge improvement in the writing and how it's being presented but the illustrations are almost the same. But I am quite happy about this sequel. The story makes sense. There's humour and there's adventure. And moreover, Rodrick's my forever meme representation. He's just zzzzing 😂🤦 The family is trying to save as much as possible but they have to have a family adventure together. So off they go to a road adventure borrowing Uncle Gary's camper van. I just couldn't bear the second hand embarrassment the family had to face following the trip 🤦😂 The characters are fun. More fun I would say. The story well planned out with much details. The art is amazing as always. Minimal yet effectively entertaining! Some parts did remind of Tarzan's story gone wrong! And then a bit later on all the summer fun and adventure become alive. Yes, it would have been so much better to read this one during the summer! All those water and adventure vibes! Hahahahah! That skunk scene 🤣😂 And the bear in the end. I am so saying no to road trips like this! But I thoroughly enjoyed reading the 'mis'adventures of this one! 4 stars

The Bad Guys in Alien vs Bad Guys (The Bad Guys #6)

The Bad Guys in Alien vs Bad Guys (The Bad Guys #6)

By Aaron Blabey

I loved Bad Guys because It was really funny and it taught some really good life lessons including being a good book for kids that are ages 7+ because of a lot of yelling but its still a good read aloud book for younger kids. I really hope everyone will enjoy this book like I did. Some following good things about it: Its a awesome way to show kids how to read and look forward to each chapter or page. And its also pretty interesting because of all the animals and more. Kids can pick all different voices for each character! Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Book 1)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Book 1)

By J.K. Rowling

I am a BIG fan of the Harry Potter series! It’s about this boy named Harry who lives with his mean aunt, uncle, and cousin. Then, on his birthday, he learns the truth about what really happened to his parents, and found out he was (and still is) a wizard! He gets to go to Hogwarts, a school for witchcraft and magic! On his first day, he picks Gryffindor, the brave, which is one of the four houses. He makes friends with Ron and Hermione, who are also in his house. He also learns about You-Know-Who, aka. Voldemort (who, by the way, has no nose 😂), and is determined to find out the secret behind the evil antagonist/villain. I would recommend this book, and the whole series to people who like fantasy and adventure! I’ve read all the books so far, and I’ll give it a five star! 🤩

Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas: From the Creator of Captain Underpants (Dog Man #5)

Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas: From the Creator of Captain Underpants (Dog Man #5)

By Dav Pilkey

I love Dog Man. I started reading the books in 4th grade when I was introduced to it. I was given a free paper dog man book with 33 pages. Anyways, I loved it. I bought two hardcover books for a total of $20. I read them both in one hour. My brother's school had a book fair and he bought to for $20, as well. Same thing happened with him, he read them both in one hour. I love these books, but that's just too much money for, 1. something (I know it purposely looks like that) that does not look like it took too much time to make, 2. something that takes you 30 minutes to read, 3 something that does not have many pages. Dog Man is the best, and I have read this one, it's about the adventures with his cat friends. I would definitely recommend that if you have not yet read the other books, I think you should before you read this one because you can get a better understanding of everything. I also have some pros and cons about the books for younger children, one of the cons is that they don't use "proper" language, but a pro about this book for younger children is that it does not take long to read, it's humorous, and it does not use a lot of big words, only one or two a book. Closing, I just don't think that this book is worth $10 dollars just for you to read it in 30 minutes. I am not trying to hate on Dog Man, y'all!! This review was thought out, and took time to be written, so please respect that. Follow me to get the inside scoop about books!! Bye y'all!! ☺

Dork Diaries 12: Tales from a Not-So-Secret Crush Catastrophe

Dork Diaries 12: Tales from a Not-So-Secret Crush Catastrophe

By Rachel Renée Russell

This book was incredible. There was so much to take in. And it was humorous too. Nikki's dad called the internet the interweb! Woo many things happened in this book. When Brandon confesses his love for Nikki, she gets crazy. Brandon is also training Nikki's dog, Daisy. When Brianna completely ruins family game night , Nikki has to miss her favorite TV shows finale and she's super excited to go on a national tour with her band. Mackenzie finally received some of the insults she deserves. When Nikki finds out she's gonna be a student ambassador she thinks she's too busy and when she shares some of her secrets to them on email. When they meet she thinks it's Andrea only to find out it's a boy named Andre. How embarrassing! She applied for a trip to Paris but when she found out she was accepted she didn't read the whole email. When she did she found out the dates were changed and she has to pick between her Bad Boyz national tour of a trip to Paris. Read the book to find out what happens next. I think this book is appropriate for kids ages 6-16. I hope you found this review helpful!

Dork Diaries 6: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Heartbreaker

Dork Diaries 6: Tales from a Not-So-Happy Heartbreaker

By Rachel Renée Russell

Dork diaries are so great. This is the first one I read so I knew nothing but my sister has books 1,2, and 3. I love the book so much. It is based on Valentine's day! Today is January 30! Nikki loves Brandon and her sister miss Bri Bri cut her hair. Brandon 's phone is sending her messages. She ends up getting really mad and being rude to Brandon. The sweetheart dance is coming up and she dosn 't want to ask her crush. Brandon thinks something weird is going on. Mackenzie on the other hand. That was your hint. You should read the book and not reply. I want to hear from everyone. Out of 100, it's totally 100. Get ready to laugh and have fun. You definitely will be surprised at what happens. There is so much of love, laughing and more. For a 320 page book, I am surprised I read it in one night and one day. I understood everything! Make sure when you read the book, you are prepared and remember what I said that happens and what is included. You should start reading! Get to the book.
