Kids Books - Historical

Like many other books this is a story of an unfortunate tragedy with a fairytale ending. Throughout the book the author keeps your attention and reminds you of the scenario so that you are not confused. It however does give away many of the details in the story, that may have been meant for a unexpected twist, so it won't keep you guessing which makes it an easy read but takes out much of the thrill and mystery. Overall I found it very predictable. On the other hand I found the book to be a page turner that kept you reading. Its sure to be a read you won't soon forget. One detail I loved about the book is it describes India today. It gives you a piece of mind and makes you appreciate everything you have, and reminds your some have nothing. The story also was an inspiration to me. The main character, Koly was not only strong and tough but kind hearted and wise. With these qualities I found myself almost caring about the character and wanting to make sure she turned out okay. This alone can make Homeless Bird a instant favorite. Overall the book was a great read an any reader is sure to enjoy it.

I'm not reading the original, but the one I'm reading is super interesting. I about half way done with it and it is a very good book.

I am an Author myself and when it comes to Spartans and Greek mythology I love it. I have even wrote a story myself called: The Spartan's Diary.

A great one if you like men in history who stood up for what the believed in, defied gravity, and did other amazing things. I loved it! 5 stars!

I loved this book. It proved that you don't just have to live in the United States to do great things!

In world war II a girl named Hanneke who was mourning over her boyfriend who got killed by the Nazi soldiers works for the black market. Working to get resources for her family, flirting with the soldiers to get home safe and sound. On one special order to a client, she gets asked to help find a missing girl who the Nazi soldiers want. Will she be a risk-taker or will she cower down? I recommend this book to someone who is interested in mystery.

This book is so perfect for African-American girls or people who are Black. It is such an inspiring read and so very important for Black girls like me to know that there are inspirational women who did great things and also looked like them. Absolutely wonderful! Great job bringing awareness to the events of 911 without leaving my son sad and depressed. Multiple story lines converging at the end made the suspense to great that he had to finish the book. He's read it twice and puts it up there with Orbiting Jupitet. Great read and great teaching lesson!

this my favorite book! it mentions the titanic more in the end but it is an awesome!!!!!! :D

Its a good book if you like adventure and mystery, and this one is my favorite so far.
