To be honest, I absolutely love the I Survived series. The whole series is basically in the point of view of a person who survived a war, a horrible event, a terrorism attack, etc. It's basically a history book, but it sounds like a narrative and it's really to-the-point. This book is about Lucas, who loves football. When he gets a concussion during practice, the doctor says that his concussion is really bad for an 11-year-old. Lucas' parents decide that the sport is too dangerous, now that he has a concussion. Lucas has to talk to Uncle Benny, who taught him everything about football. He hopes that Uncle Benny can change his parents' mind. So, Lucas skips school and visits Uncle Benny (who is a firefighter in New York) and his dad, who works with Uncle Benny in the fire department. While they are talking, they were heading toward the Twin Towers when the first plane crashed! Uncle Benny and the firefighters (including Lucas' dad) tries to save as many people as they can. Lucas, on the other hand, tries to help as best as he can, but the room they are in collapses! Will everyone (or anyone) get out alive? Read this book to find out. I would not recommend this book to younger readers, because this is a very serious topic and not appropriate for them. Even though this was a short read, it made plenty of emotions rush through me - fear, angst, horror, and even happiness and relief. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I wept a little wept occasionally. One more thing: terrorism is an awful, awful thing, and I just hope that we can achieve world peace one day. Even if we do have one golden minute of world peace, I feel everything would crumble down again.. I'm sorry. I love this book, but I would subtract one star for not having a very good base or anything I can connect to.

Christmas is almost here and the Heffley family is way behind on all things Christmas and they want to get away. Even though Greg thinks it's not a good idea as he is perfectly happy staying indoors by the fireplace all through Christmas break, his family decides to go to Isla de Corales for the Christmas and be away from the excruciating cold. They are all packed and they leave for the airport but without taking in consideration all the traffic they will get. They make it to the airport and hit snag after snag. After lots of bumps, they make it to Isla de Corales and instantly they feel better as the hot air hits them. But family holidays aren't family holidays until there is a lot of bickering and that's exactly what ensues. Greg's mother wants the family to spend time together but Greg's dad wants to do his own thing and Rowley wants to do his own thing too. Greg is looking to do lots of cool activities so that he can finally show Rowley that he had stellar time on his getaway. Let's just say that short of getting thrown in jail, the Heffley family gets in all sorts of trouble. I don't know what it is about the Heffely family holidays that they remind me so much of my family holidays. From not leaving for the airport in enough time to end up sitting on the plane in the middle of a different family to getting lost at the resort to birds eating our lunch to not be able to get a single decent family photo are all so relatable and not to mention hilarious. I loved this. 5 stars

Who was Martin Luther King jr? You may ask. Here I'll tell you. He was a black man who wanted ALL people to have FAIR rights. But he was special he fought peacefully! Like in Boycotts and in Speeches he still didn't get what he wanted until he died. Sad right? Later on in his life he won the Noble Peace Prize for fighting peacefully! Martin Luther King Jr is a hero. Martin's famous speech ( You most likely Know the Name!) I Have a Dream. This was one of my favorite books! The Vanderbeekers kids; the twins, Isa and Jessie both are 13 years old, Oliver, 10 years old, Hyacinth, 8 years old, and lastly but not at least, Laney who is 6 years old. They lived in the brownstone apartment for whole of their lives, and it's practically another member of the Vanderbeekers family. They have pets, Franz, a dog, George Washington, a cat, and Prangini, a bunny. All were well until their landlord, Mr. Beiderman refused to renew their lease after 6 years of living there for Vanderbeekers. Papa Vanderbeeker as revealed lived in Harlem for all of his childhood, which was actually hoping to have his children to live for whole of their childhood in the Harlem, too. Ever since when the news broke out that Mr. Beiderman refuses to renew their lease, the Vanderbeekers doing as much as they could to save their home. You'll meet people like, Mr. Van Hooten, Isa's violin teacher, Auntie Harrigan and Uncle Arthur, Miss Josie, Mr. Jeet, Angie, the Castlemans, Benny and his parents (Benny is 8th grader and Isa is in 7th grade), etc. In the ending, Benny finally asked Isa out for the dance and the Vanderbeekers also got invited into the Mr. Beiderman's apartment after those long years and the Vanderbeekers barely even know him until they found the truth in the newspapers and people. - Happy Reading!

*24 hours ago before I read this AWESOME book* National Geographic: Did you know why Napoleon always have his hand in his coat? Me: Ummm... no.... maybe he's photogenic, likes getting in the spotlight, or enjoyed standing still to get himself painted???? National Geographic: Actually you're on the right start, but Napoleon just liked himself getting painted a lot, and it was his trademark... Me: Phew.... National Geographic: Did you know whalebones can be used as a shapeshifter??? Me: Maybe?!?!? National Geographic: Did you know as a symbolic gesture, Gandhi wore homespun clothes and spent his---- Me (cuts National Geographic off): Sorry to interrupt you but instead of asking questions to me, can I just read the book... *Present 2015-* Wow this book was amazing.... I am a fashion freak and a history nerd (guilty as charge :p) but I still learned so many new things. I really liked it how the author included so many fashion guidelines while added history tidbits and pictures to go along with it....Each page there is a huge fun fact like, "I see muslin, I see France, finally some underpants," XD there was a huge paragraph how women used to not wear underwear... but now they do (phew....) because of the virulent influenza epidemic a.k.a the muslin disease.... Anyways (SPOILER ALERT) but this book was huge... which totally made my day... and it was COLORFUL like scattered rainbow colored sprinkles on to of a hot fudge sundae with a cherry on top and oooooh some whip cream....Now I'm getting off topic, but just looking at the colorful pages and the drawings and paintings made me spend more time on this book... like seriously I took like 10 minutes on one page... looking at all the details and reading everything word to word.... like actually analyzing... don't judge.... and you can tell this is a good book because I usually am a fast, avid reader... but this took so much time... when I had free time, I would just read this book (still want my hot fudge sundae with cherry and whip cream)....Anyways, fashion started around the ancient world wearing wool, linen, and hemp where they weaved it into textiles, while in China just discovered silk making out of cocoons, and in Egypt wearing kohl... Now during the middle ages they were dressed to kill... they wore armors and it was so interesting how linen evolved to metal armor (I guess that's just life :P).... Now in the age of exploration they used... yes... lipstick and blush... wore moccasins, and the conquistadores wore a lot of RED (made me think of Taylor Swift...lol.... I guess I just have to shake it off... pun intended :D)... Now during the Renaissance period.. they were wearing wigs and beautiful and extravagant dresses with layers (reminded me of cake... now I want a hot fudge sundae and cake lol :D)... and it was the time period where they really experimented with makeup------- I might as well spoil this book... but I am not going to.... Read it for yourself!!! You'll never forget this experience learning so much... it's like a brain overload... but since I like learning.... my brain is okay... but still... you should read this book, you can now know all different type of clothes from different time periods (Seriously... I was picking out an outfit for school yesterday... and I mostly know what type of my clothes' origins... like where it actually started.... like legit :D...I was pretty happy, because the book actually taught me stuff) But this book makes you think... about fashion today, and what problems are created because of fashion :O... Like remember guys... our fashion used to be like sagging jean (for guys, that was horror ;0), tattoos, ombre hair, rubber band bracelets, silly bands, platforms, body piercings, and so much more... so if this is our fashion (or was) what do you think our fashion is going to be like in twenty or maybe a hundred years later... You see fashion plays such a huge role, and we have to kind of be careful... So read this amazing book! You'll learn so much information, you can impress your history teacher (lol ;P)... but still for those who enjoy reading books from National Geographic books, likes history books, or is a fashionista yourself... READ this book!!!! National Geographic: Now that you read the book... can I quiz- Me: Sure, I'll ace your questions! National Geographic: In Japan, what do court lad- Me (cuts them off) : You mean how court ladies dress... I can answer that question *gives a big smile* they wear multiple kimonos also called junihitoe, which means women wears 12 layers of clothing... and can wear up to 20 layers! National Geographic (looks surprised and uncomfortable): Ummm I see you learned a lot... Pop quiz is over! A+ for you... *quickly rushes out of the room* Me: Yay.... so READ this book!!! Hope you enjoy!!!!! *skips happily out of the room.... stopping for a second to take a selfie with the book : WHY'D THEY WEAR THAT?*

I loved this book, and my nephew did, too! Lots of cool facts, lots of amazing pictures, and it got him all fired up about the World Cup! I would definitely recommend.

This book pretty much tells you all you need to know about Egypt like if you're doing a report or an essay they have all the facts that you need well long story short it's a good book and I really do reccomend it so much and it might tell you some facts that you didn't even know it might surprise you.

I suggest this book because Roblox is an amazing web age to a bunch of games. And if you are intrested on playing roblox you should read this book. It tells you everything you need to know about Roblox. I Roblox it has types of games for everyone from the girly girls who love to dress up there character with fashion famous and Design it and to the boys who love to kill people like Assasin and Murder Mystery 2. I really recommend this book to anyone intrested in playing roblox or even people who like video games! -Lovebug101
