I had high hopes for this book after reading Hinton's The Outsiders, while it didn't meet my expectations, it was still a good read. Taming The Star Runner follows Travis Harris, a hardened, popular city boy from Tulsa- with a soft spot for writing, but when he comes home to find his abusive stepfather cramming his writing in the fireplace, the hot-tempered Travis knows that he has gone too far, and attacks him. Later, when released from Juvie, he is placed in the custody of his Uncle Ken, who lives in the outskirts of rural Tulsa, longing for his home, Travis hates life in the country, laughed at and ignored for his tough attitude and looks, he is alone- his personality that was revered in his home town has become his downfall. When he is introduced to Casey, one of the riding instructors at ken's ranch he is facinated- bolder and braver than any girl he's known and intent on taming the Star Runner, the wildest, meanest, and most striking horse in the barn.

The Invent-a-Palloza was a real blast at Griffin's school, and all eyes were on Griffin, for he was an inventor's son. Challenged, Darren Vader enters, and also Griffin's friend, Mellisa. Darren makes an instant egg cooker, Griffin makes a muffled engine vacuum, and Mellisa's invention is an invention that keeps dogs from running on the street. Everything was going perfectly, until Mellisa's invention was stolen, and nothing became more important than stealing it back. They knew they had to get the invention back, and the mission will require a break-in, right through the government's property.....

Babymouse's zesty, imaginable fun is truly undeniable! In her latest adventure, Babymouse's birthday is coming up, and she kick-starts the graphic novel with a wonderful daydream about her birthday being celebrated globally. Babymouse shows her dreamy side throughout the book - encountering wild fantasies with her locker, for instance - but perhaps there's a method to her madness. Because when mean girl (or cat?) Felicia Furrypaws' birthday bash is held on the exact same day as Babymouse's, reality may not be the best world to be living in.

To be honest, this wasn’t a good book. It had a lot of aspects I didn’t like, and some parts were a bit gross. To summarize the whole book, I would say it was just...hard to get into, and not my type of book. I also didn’t like the cover (really, I thought it should’ve been better for readers to pick it up and read it). I do not recommend this book, and rate it 2/5 stars.

i love this book so much because it is very funny . Hey ladybug300 I am in pg.109 and I can not stop reading this book.
