A thrilling new series soars above the competition and redefines middle-grade fantasy fiction for a new generation!

The seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations, locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting, with the help of a prophecy -- a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice.

Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end the terrible war.

But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when the select five escape their underground captors to look for their original homes, what has been unleashed on the dragon world may be far more than the revolutionary planners intended . . .

The Dragonet Prophecy is set in a world where the seven dragon tribes in the story have been at war for many years. The Talons of Peace want to bring an end to the fighting, and a prophecy is made. Five dragon eggs are raised hidden in a cave against their will to fulfill the prophecy. But then the five decide to escape their underground prison and find their homes. They succeed but are almost immediately captured by an evil queen. And the outside isn't what they expected at all. What will happen to them? Will they save the world? Or will they perish in their fight for freedom? I really liked this book. There was plenty and action, and I loved learning about all the unique dragon tribes and characteristics. It was interesting to see the development of the friendship between the five dragonets, and their reaction to their new reality. I recommend this book to fantasy and adventure (and of course dragon) lovers middle grade age and up. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

There are a group of dragonets. Everyone calls them the dragonets of destiny. This is because they are supposed to end the war when it has lasted 20 years. They are being raised in a cave, but when they escape the cave they hate, they get captured by one of the three contenders for the throne, Burn. Will they escape? Will they end the war? Correction. It was an amazing MudWing Dragon NAMED Clay. They do escape the mountain they're trapped in. It is a 10 book series. I borrowed them from my cousins and read them all. I would do it again. I think that kids ranging from seven year olds to 14 year olds. Please don't skip books. it makes it very very hard to understand. I would recommend Wings of Fire: Legends, Darkstalker. it explains alot in the sixth book. One last time I will say, read this amazing, super exciting, surprising, twisty, twirly story.

@Kc17, I would recommend this book TO EVERYONE! It is rated 5 stars! It's been awhile since I've read book 1, mainly because I started reading it in May 2016 and I finished in January 2017. And ALL those challenges add up to book 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10! And soon to be 11! Who likes books where the character faces little problems? I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL DRAGON LOVERS WHO DONT LIKE DRAGON TRAINER BOOKS! (You also need to read DarkStalker legends to understand book 6)
