I think it is a great book. My favorite of the series. I recommend this one. Katniss is relieved to have won and is looking forward to a nice quiet life but Snow is not convinced. Katniss is the face of the start of an uprising and must put the flames out on for her sake and others. The quarter quell is this year, when there is a twist, and this year its the past victors. Katniss is back in the arena and doesn't know who to trust can she do it again against all odds as the one with the least experience. What will Katniss do when faced with difficult choices of survival or friendship, humanity or winning?

Really, Really good book. Really good dystopian like descriptions of the atmosphere and the world around Katniss and Peeta. I am the type of person who likes a lot of gore. I love the Halloween movie series and Friday the 13th and other slasher films. I felt really satisfied with the violence in this book. It sounds bad, and I promise I don't go around hurting any1 and I'm not a serial killer (istg) but it was a good amount of gore. Really good book, would definitely recommend.
Really good book. Probably for slightly older reader (13+) but I loved it!
It all started my a handful of berries. Ever since Katniss won the 75th Hunger Games, the trauma has been haunting her. To make matter worse, rebellions have started to kick out and more peacekeepers have been coming to District 12 nonstop. Katniss’s family and all who she loves is now in danger, and she and Peeta are once again forced to be “the-star-crossed-lovers-from-District 12”, but not everyone is convinced, especially Snow. Then, with more odds against Katniss’s survival, the Quarter Quell happens. But this is not the a usual Quarter Quell, Snow is determined to kill Katniss off with the bowl of former victors out for her too (Or so she thinks)! Katniss is forced to question whether her choice of actions were for the cause of whole hearted love? Or the fiery thirst of rebellion that feasts inside her. Will Katniss survive once again? Or surrender herself for Peeta? In this heart racing, action packed sequel to the first Hunger Games book, Katniss must find out the true meaning of being ‘The Mockingjay’. And the fate of the districts relies on it.
This book is a great read! It has a lot of action and might be a bit scary for younger kids but it is very enjoyable!!
Ever since Katniss won and rebelled against The Hunger Games, mayhem has been breaking out. Rebellions have started forming and the tension is tighter than ever. The Capitol is struggling to keep control, all because Katniss and a handful of berries. So when President Snow comes for a special visit to Katniss's house, Katniss is now having to play a role to stable the Capitol and protect someone very special. Katniss is now supposed to be happy. She and Peeta can live happily together. Both of their family's finally have enough food. But there's enemies higher and greater than them that when one Hunger Games winner reunion could tear apart the people they love. Catching Fire is no exception to The Hunger Games- showing bravery, sorrow, and once again: The Girl Who Was On Fire. Happy Reading!
my friend ash678 told me about it so i am reading it!
This book is a great sequel to the first installment of Hunger Games. the story just keeps getting more intense and interesting as the story evolves. the characters are better and funnier. All in all, clear your day plans before reading this. Please read!
Imagine being picked to be put into a man made wilderness where everything can happen. Your main goal is to kill all the other people chosen. Then imagine being chosen again. Katniss Everdeen the main character of the book “Catching fire” The sequel to “The Hunger Games” written by Suzanne Collins had to go through that. It takes place in dystopian US where they are ruled by the capitol who takes all their resources leaving them to starve. When she is picked the second time she is picked with people from past games, who along with having more experience, they also have bonds. The other people are friends, but Katniss starts making friends with them. I would recommend this book to anyone who is fine with a little gore. But just as a warning please do not read this book if you are in 6 grade or below.
I read it after I finished 4th grade.
