Lea Dives in was a cute, heartwarming book. When I first got it I honestly didn't think it would be that great, since I haven't read American Girl books in FOREVER. (I just want to point out that this book IS designed for ages 8 and up.) It was interesting to read from a 10 year old's perspective, and it felt pretty realistic in that area. 10 is the age where you are starting to grow up, but are still thought of as a kid, and Lea was definitely struggling with wanting to be treated like someone her age, not like a 7 year old, so kudos to Ms. Yee. This was a very simplistic, short, book (and the circumstances all play out so perfectly that you KNOW this is fictional), but it had a good message: "When you travel, test yourself. You'll never regret it." This is definitely perfect for younger girls (and maybe boys, who knows) who don't feel self-confident in themselves, or just for anyone who wants a cute story about the girl who was afraid of the sea.

I love the because it is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG this book is the best book ever invented

It was good. I liked the cover art and I liked how it took place in Brazil!! Lea finally conquers her fear and gets in the water and takes awesome photos for her class to see!

love it its great i rented it from the libary i also have a lot of them in my book shelf there like one of my favorite books i recommend this book

This book is good but, I don't like it when she gives a attitude to her brother!

It is good but, I don't like Lea giving an attitude to her brother.

The brother and sister weren't nice to each other. They argued a lot and it wasn't fun to read because they went back and forth with mean things to say so much. I did like that they saw a lot of cool animals like sea turtles and dolphins.

I agree. I thought the character of Lea was not very nice to her brother

I liked this book it was fun it helped me when i had the fear of diving in the water. I really enjoyed this book
