A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

If J.K. Rowling is reading this review, I have two things to say about her incredible series: 1) I am very flattered that the best author of all time is reading my review!!! 2) your books are AMAZING!!!! You are my hero, favorite author, and mentor. When I grow up, I'm going to be an author, just like you!!!!

Yet another amazing Harry Potter book from J. K. Rowling is here. But this is the one book which I will say: The movie was better. The book was going pretty slow, and was getting kind of depressing. Harry keeps asking Dumbledore why he and Voldemort are so similar, which kind of breaks the surprise in the seventh book. The Order of the Pheonix is the longest book in the series (I think) but when I read it, it dragged even longer than it really was. The series is great, though. But I've reread every book in the series EXCEPT for this one. Coincedence? I THINK NOT!

this book is awesome and i think everyone should even try to read this book

This book so good and interesting. I recommend this wonderful book. Go J.K. Rowling!!!

What can I say? These books are incredible. Magical and wonderful and beautiful. In every way flawless. I am pretty much obsessed with these books. I HIGHLY recommend to everyone on earth! Insanely perfect!
