A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

This was a very interesting book that deserves a 5 star. It deserves this because of how connected it is with the other books. It flows perfectly, like each book is just a chapter. Another reason is that it is very well written, and feels like it is actually an entire new world. That is why this book deserves a 5-star.

My favorite line: Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all do

I am not done yet but so far it is GREAT

i absolutly love fantasy and i liked the pheniox as a bird with all its fantasy so i read it and loved it.

Enter a dazzling world beyond your imagination. That's how I will describe it.

I do love this book, but the only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 is because it was SOOOOO long!
