I thought this was a really great book. It's about Greg's mom, Susan Heffley getting sick of the town a her family always using technology, so she creates a petition to ban technology for a weekend and unfortunately for Greg, it works. His dad has also been bugging him too though, he has been bothering him about small habits, like putting the cap back on the toothpaste. But he has an accident and in order to avoid his dad's scoldings, he goes to a 1 week school field trip to a place called Hardscrabble Farms, and quite a lot of bad things happen there. This was a very unpredictable great book and I laughed a lot while reading it.

It was very enjoyable to read Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School which is a comical and humorous novel. Throughout the story, Greg Heffley found out whether life was better in the old days as his modern life is taken away from him. It was interesting that the author wrote in a very casual tone that made me feel he was talking to me in an everyday conversation. Kinney also used lots of funny vocabularies throughout this book that made me laugh lots of times. I never came upon confusion when reading the book because everything was written in simple and short sentences. I especially loved the illustrations that went along with the story. They were very neat, and I thought it was fun to read the text boxes inside them because they were often silly and amusing. The transition between different subjects were quite smooth, and Kinney had done a good job relating each scene to the others. However, I thought the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School could be improved if there was a more central story that the novel could follow. I found that Kinney always wrote about different subjects when describing the story, but sometimes I felt it would have been better if he just focused on the main story, and added more details on the actions, thoughts, and surroundings of the characters. In summary, I would recommend Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School to younger children or people who have weaker reading abilities and like a playful and easy read.
Life better in the old days. Or is it? This is the question that this book is mainly about. It begins with Greg's Grandpa and Dad talking about what they used when they are little. After Greg's Mom heard this conversation, she decided the NO PHONE rule. This is when the book gets interesting. My favorite character of this book is Greg's mother, because I think she is a classic mother. And I think that is what all the mothers will do. I really liked this book it is funny like all other books in the series.
This book is really đź‘Ť for me to read
great book
I love this book I just read it and now my sister is reading it.
I think everyone in all ages can read this book it is a really really interesting book about Greg's Dad and Grandpa start to say the story that when he is young he "USED" to and then it became really funny that they all got in some kind of "TROUBLE". I think the biggest part of this book is talking about when his mother started a "NO PHONE" place and everyone start doing the thing that they don't usually do.I am wondering that why Gerg never gets mad when someone mess something up that he puts lots and lots of effort in it.So this book talks about Parent's thinking and it is kind of like what your parent thinks,Child's life and if you think about it while you read you can have a lot of similar things in the book and your life.
Greg Heffley starts by explaining his current life, especially about the way his family talked about how life was back when they were young, and how they had no electronics. He also starts to wonder what science and technology, as well as humans, will evolve to when he gets older.
I really like this book, it make me laugh, and it's funny, but sometimes it makes you nervous you can't even think what is going to happen next in the story. This book is about Greg going to a camp. He find out a lot of strange things when he is at the camp. You will like this book, I really recommended this book, when you are sad or mad you should read this book it will make you happy, or not mad again. You should read this book you will love it!!!!
