This book just disgusted me because it's all about suicide. And there's mushy stuff about love.

This book is one of my favorites. I can't remember it that well, so I forgot the names. I really liked how the girl did the tapes. The author did an amazing job. The way she worded the chapters (tapes). It was like I was listening to the tapes. I recommend this book to 6th graders and up.
This book isn’t as good as I think it is for one main reason - it sort of glamorises suicide. Although there are a lot of good descriptions and parts of the book that I liked, the different point of views made me very confused as to whose thoughts they were about. Although the characters were quite alright, Hannah was the most unreal one to me, and that’s because she killed herself just for the sake of getting sick revenge. However I think that the book is realistic though, because most teenagers are very sensitive and can be hurt by just a little joke. So Hannah didn’t really get tormented to the point of suicide in a really horrible revolting, this made the book a bit more realistic. Again, I think that Hannah was really the main character in the story and she just sounded so angry and bitter (maybe that’s cause she was about to commit suicide) but it just made the story seem a bit more unrealistic to me. I would give this book 3/5 stars, I just don’t understand all the hype about it.
This theme is kinda dark but its worth it because the plot is so good.

I loved this book, it's one of those that I can't put down. I have so many emotions throughout the book, it feels like I'm with the character as I'm reading along. This book is great about telling others about suicide and and how we should help others who look like they are in need of someone to talk to.
A great read about suicide, guilt, and the small things we do that impact others' lives. A little bit fake with her voice on the tapes, but other than that a great read.

I think this book is a great read for anyone who likes thriller and mystery novels. The impeccable writing makes the reader feel like they are taking the journey with the main character, Clay Jensen, and going on this emotional roller coaster with him. I would advise older kids to read this book, because it deals with mature themes like suicide and self-harm. One of the best parts of the book, is that it spreads awareness about suicide and helps the reader identify clues of a person who is thinking of committing suicide.
