No one ever really paid close attention to the faces of the missing children on the milk cartons. But as Janie Johnson glanced at the face of the ordinary little girl with her hair in tight pigtails, wearing a dress with a narrow white collar--a three-year-old who had been kidnapped twelve years before from a shopping mall in New Jersey--she felt overcome with shock. She recognized that little girl--it was she. How could it possibly be true?

Janie can't believe that her loving parents kidnapped her, but as she begins to piece things together, nothing makes sense. Something is terribly wrong. Are Mr. and Mrs. Johnson really Janie's parents? And if not, who is Janie Johnson, and what really happened?

This book is so good. It has a fast pace!! I love fast pace books because they are not so draggy. It is for older kids though. I am only on chapter 2 and I love it. Thank you Mrs.Phillip for pointing this book out to me.

I really want to read this!

I found this book in my 5th grade classroom and thought it looked interesting. The plot was exciting, but 5th grade is WAY too young too read it. It was very inappropriate for young readers, and I promptly pointed that out to my teacher.

I like this book because just stop and think for a moment, all those kids and adults being kidnapped mostly nobody cares but just think what if it was you???...

I really enjoyed the mystery and suspense in this book about a missing girl, it even has a sequel!

this book is ok. i had to read it for my lititure group for school. the back makes it sound way more interesting then it really is.

My teacher told me that I should read it. I read the back and it sounded really interesting to me. I think that everyone should be able to read it just like me.
