I really liked this book. I especially liked Nero and Lucy. Lucy reminds me of myself and Nero is a kid that loves to learn and is curious about everything. I liked the ending a lot because everything was fixed and they were all friends. I cried a little when they talked about the grandmother saying listen but ruby didn't and when the grandmother Gigi died Ruby felt really guilty. Over all I really loved this book!!!

For Ruby Pepperdine, the “center of everything” is on the rooftop of Pepperdine Motors in her donut-obsessed town of Bunning, New Hampshire, stargazing from the circle of her grandmother Gigi’s hug. That’s how everything is supposed to be—until Ruby messes up and things spin out of control. But she has one last hope. It all depends on what happens on Bunning Day, when the entire town will hear Ruby read her winning essay. And it depends on her twelfth birthday wish—unless she messes that up too. Can Ruby’s wish set everything straight in her topsy-turvy world?

I love how the town of Bunning was obsessed with donuts. The book had a really interesting plot that kept me hooked the whole way through. I would defintiely recommend this book to girls around 5th or 6th grade!
I really enjoyed The Center of Everything. Like Ruby, I am 12 years old too so I could relate to some of her thoughts and feelings throughout the book.
The Center of Everything is based in the small town of Bunning, named after its founder and inventor of the hole in the doughnut, Captain Corilius Bunning. The main character Ruby Pepperdine enters and essay contest. The winner of the contest gets to read their essay in front of the whole town on a float in the Bunning day parade. When she finally gets up on the float to read her 180word essay, after she surprisingly wins the contest, she just stands there and listens. Which is what her grandmother told her to do the day she died but she didn’t listen. So Ruby wants to make things right again but nothing happens. I think that this book is okay it could have more of a plot to it. I’ll just say it didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next. I think there is something missing in this book, just like the holes in Captain Bunning's doughnuts.
wow.
Haven't heard of it but, it looks good.
