Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

Smile is a book that includes characters that can teach you a life lesson using comic strips. Raina has yet again made another book that teaches you to be yourself, and you don't have to hide anything. This book is actually kind of an auto-biography-comic because this comic is based on author Raina Telgemier's teenage life while wearing braces. In this story, Telgemier shows her story that includes lots of drama and also real-life situations that teenage girls usually come across. In this comic, these pages are filled with heart-warming experiences that can be understood and can likely be a lesson to people who are afraid to reveal themselves with braces. Giving this book 3/5, I dare you to read this book and don't stop reading in 30 seconds.
