On a foggy night in Amsterdam, a man falls from a rooftop to the wet pavement below. It's Alfie McQuinn, the notorious cat burglar, and he's dying. As sirens wail in the distance, Alfie manages to get out two last words to his young son, March: "Find jewels."

But March learns that his father is not talking about a stash of loot. He's talking about Jules, the twin sister March never knew he had. No sooner than the two find each other, they're picked up by the police and sent to the world's worst orphanage. It's not prison, but it feels like it.

March and Jules have no intention of staying put. They know their father's business inside and out, and they're tired of being pushed around. Just one good heist, and they'll live the life of riches and freedom most kids only dream about.

Watch out! There are wild kids on the loose and a crime spree coming . . .

SO WANT TO READ

good for people who like suspense and excitement kind of sad the someone dies but still very good. it has some parts that have bit of magic but still real enough to believe.

This book was really good, considering its like a mystery and also, its kind of funny and dramatic at the same time! This book is downright AWESOME!!!!

this book was awesome at first it was weird but by the time I goy to chapter 4 I got what the whole book was about.

i was kind of confused at the beginning but i soon learned that this was one of the best book i have ever read Jules and March

Marches dad died he fell off the roof and the last thing he said was "find Jules" Jules was his sister he didn't even know he had a sister but he finds Jules but the get taken away to and orphanage which fells like prison to them.

Loot is a book about different tastes and I want this book to be loved by you!! It has its differences from other books but in an amazing way!! Enjoy this heartwarming tale!!!

Loved all the puzzles and twists in the story. Can't wait for the next book.

This is a really engaging book, based on the perspective of two children that are twins, of a thief that has died. I was confused when I was reading the first chapter, because I couldn't determine an image in my mind of what was happening; the author wasn't specific enough for some parts, and was too detailed for other parts.

March's dad is a thief and so is he. But one night on a job things go wrong and now Alfie ( his dad ) is dead. Now March is on his own. At least his dad gave him some money. But more things go wrong when after trying to follow a list his dad made and attending an illegal show he is caught by child services. March then discovers that he has a sister,Jules, although she acts like she hates him and their dad. At the funeral of Alfie a woman comes up to them offering 7 million dollars if they can find seven moonstones before the blue moon. With the help of Darius and Izzy ( friends from the children's home they were in ) can March and Jules pull it off?
