I haven't read it but I saw the movie. It's based on the World War ll, and there is a boy who has a lot of money, lives in a giant house and his dad is a soldier. One day they went to live to another house neer a jail. The boy with a lot of money wanted doesn't know that the jail is a jail he thinks it is a farm. He goes neer the jail and makes friends with a boy in the jail. Then the book tells what happens. At the end the boys die.
OMG THIS BOOK... was AMAZING. and the movie is usually worse than the book, but the movie was the same as the book. it was only a little better because i was experiencing the book. i CRIED. JUST, SO GOOD.
one of the sadest coolest books i have ever read
such a sad story i want cry i read it once and saw the movie like 4 times i cried 4 hours after the movie.
This Book is awsome, although I didnt read it the movie is good and it has a twist on it. The main people is a 2 nine year old boys and Shummal and Bruno. Hope you read or see it.
I never like sad storeys!
I read the book and have not seen the movie yet. I liked this story because it was told in the voice of a child. This boy seems so innocent - and sometimes silly. You want to have some background knowledge of concentration camps / holocaust before reading this.
it was so good but sad
Book ihave to read for language arts. Very good about world war 2 and a boy whos dad is a high ranking nazi.
