This book is interesting. It is very suspenseful and funny. But it is a little uncomfortably romantic. I would warn that from the summary the book gives, you don't know that it is pretty much a romance book. Other than that, I really liked this book. Maddie is not a normal girl. Her father is the Secret Service for the POTUS. And Maddie is friends with the POTUS's son, Logan. But after a life changing event, Maddie and her father must leave Washington D.C. and move to Alaska. That means leaving Logan. In Alaska, Maddie is a new person. She's tough, strong, and confident. Maddie, over the years, has tried to keep in contact with Logan but he has never written back. Maddie finally forgets about Logan. But one day, Logan shows up in Alaska. Maddie is ready to hate him, but inwardly she still misses him. After he gets kidnapped in Alaska, Maddie must make the decision to save him and reconcile. This book is pretty good. I think it would have been better if there weren't romantic parts but that is just my opinion. I suggest it if you like girl-power, romance, adventure and friendship. Happy reading!
When Maddie and Logan were young, they were best friends. Inseparable. Maddie's father was the head CIA agent and Logan's father was the president, so they were always around each other. But that all changes when the first lady is threatened by a potential kidnapping and Maddie's father risks his life to save her. After the incident, Maddie and her father move to a very remote part of Alaska where they're safe. Logan's stopped keeping in touch with Maddie and Maddie tries to ignore it. It isn't like he's important anymore if he doesn't even have the motivation to write and continue the friendship. Then one day, Logan shows up at the Alaskan doorstep of Maddie's house with no explanation. Maddie tries to ignore him- after all, he didn't seem to want to keep their friendship alive. But then one day something unimaginable happens. Logan is kidnapped. Maddie probably should leave Logan. Who cares about her ex-best friend? Though, that's not Maddie's nature. So setting foot into the Alaskan wilderness, Maddie sets out to help save her old friend. Told in alternating points of view, this book will keep readers captivated and make it seem like the reader is right next to Maddie and Logan. Happy reading!
I love this book could not stop reading it!
