Thousands of toads left their natural habitats and took to the streets in two separate incidents in China on May 9th and May 10th. Was it in search of better living conditions or was it because they sensed a pending natural disaster?

The first toad migration was seen on May 9th, in China's Jiangsu Province. For two days thousands of toads flooded the streets trying to get across the road much to the chagrin of motorists and bicyclists.

Experts thought that the pollution in the river nearby had depleted the oxygen levels so much, that the toads had been forced to leave and look for another habitat.

However, on May 10th, a similar phenomenon was noticed a few thousand miles away near the city of Mianzhu. Two days later a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the area killing thousands of people. While scientists believe the two migrations were a coincidence, the local people of the China believe that the toads sensed a natural disaster coming and tried to flee the areas. What do you think?
