Jennifer—

Things here have gotten very bad.

My girl, when you opened the Way, something happened. It has been weeks since you left, and spring has still not come. The rains continue, every day. Winter has been creeping back in. The river through town is flooding, and none of the farmers have been able to put in their crops.

I am afraid that something from that world is spilling over into ours.

You must come home at once. I need you here.

But Fer can't go home yet. Ever since she went through the Way, she's felt an attachment to this new world and its magic, and senses that it is perilously out of balance. The key to healing the land and defeating its powerful ruler lies in Fer's past and the parents she never knew. She must discover who she is and unleash her inner warrior before the worlds on both sides of the Way plunge into a never-ending winter.

When I was reading, I was thinking about why they started out with Rook, but once I read on, I knew.

I love this book and I want to read the rest

I have read the whole series and it is really good. It's one of my favorite books!

This book is really good but sadly I didn't get to read the rest of it cause I had to return it to the library so yeah... But still it was really good so far and I love how the author lets you imagine how the story goes and Rook and Fer and Grand Jane and yeah all of the characters are fabulous and it's so mysterious and exciting to read what happens next! 😊

great books, trying to get the third i love the magic and mystery.

Winterling is an amazing book. I am now reading the second book, Summerkin, and both of them are very, very good. I really love how it captures the essence of magic, though it is more plants and earth that create the magic. I think that having a horrible queen against a healing girl in the middle of all of it makes Winterling all the more fun to read.

i love this book it is so good i like it becauce it has a horse on the cover and i like horses and it is kinda like a mystery and i like mystery books
